  1. great work as usual my friend! relume looks awesome!! add a palp crown and it's dam near genuine
  2. maybe i'll build more..........maybe not. problem is finding and waiting on parts....
  3. enjoy the watch my friend
  4. my mistake... the sandwich lume can be removed no problem. i meant the sausage dials lume cannot be safely removed..
  5. that's correct. the old lume on the sandwich dials can not be removed without damaging the dial.
  6. exactly right! once you correct as many flaws you can trying to build the perfect watch over and over and over pretty soon you snap and say.....why not just buy the perfect watch?? no regrets! the gen is incredible quality which is something i can appreciate.
  7. it's an unbranded custom franken pam. gen pam parts are inside.. i bet in 100 guesses no one can guess what the genuine parts are? LOL! the watch looks very cool in person. especially good at an angle when the cutouts show up on the dial!
  8. my favorite show! love that episode
  9. i'm sure all can see....davidsen's newest sandwich dials are green lume....GREEN! the simple fix is relume in pure c1.. the end result is a very correct color.. if any amount of c3 is added to the mix....it will stay green. pure c1 over the green turns a slightly off white and looks natural. i have pics but my camera is not here right now. i've done 3 of these so far with great results
  10. love the pam!!! i actually wore an omega today for a change.. and my 38mm speedy day-date at that! man it feels small LOL!
  11. the 111i wont leave my wrist!! you are right though... i just wear bigger watches most of the time so it's ok
  12. and i'm sure you must have seen the last one i did!
  13. you can pm me for all the help you need my friend i just finished a rolex movement version and i'm working on a cortebert 617. i'd get the hell away from the rolex movement unless you want a serious amount of modification to make it all work! no drop in parts at all. everything modded! the cortebert 617 is great to start and a seriously good movement! i'd do a two hand watch and cut the seconds wheel stem. the pam hands at least are closer to fitting and plenty of parts are available. vintage is fun! here is a few pieces to my current project. the dial i bronzed, and did a vintage lume and aged. the hands are the original cortebert hands that i have since applied a vintage lume to. these are tough projects but really sweet when finished and you will appreciate them more than any rep.
  14. just sold my last one but i felt the pics should stay here on the forum latest 1:1 version VC overseas 42mm. correct bracelet clasp. black dial. *genuine military spec cheiftang double AR coated sapphire (see any reflections?? no! ) *correct cross mod. *superlumed dial and hands *modified endlinks to fit flush with the case *bracelet modified to take out the slack in the first two links for a more genuine feel *all seals lubed for better waterproofing *serviced swiss ETA 2836 (quiet rotor, most are noisy in these) *refinished bracelet grain
  15. i just oredred my gen strap now this! oh well the gen straps are always better and 170 with the buckle is not bad anyways
  16. your an animal floris..... i cannot believe someone would try this without you mentioning that you need fertilizer first and you can only put them facing north and no more than 8 inches into the soil... also what many do not understand the little known fact that if it is pointing south and it is a full moon you can bury it at night for a full relume. also even the best part yet! if you bury your rep in a stack of 50 $100 bills and drop it off at most ADs they will trade you a brand new gen for it!!!! this is true
  17. thanks i'll probably build one for myself next after i buy my gen pam 005....my next goal
  18. not the best way.... the ONLY way! just use a micro oiler and do a tiny section at a time and plan on it taking a long time to finish. take it slow and steady. no need to mask. i think it may be harder to do if masked. much harder. good thought though!
  19. thanks randy! really taken to heart.
  20. i had to cut the dial holes larger a bit to make the spacing work.. was close but had to be done.
  21. 99% done! just getting it regulated and a few small bugs worked out. this was a rolex pocket watch movement number 666 fitted to a 47mm vintage Brevet 6152-1 case with plexi front and back. this one was the hardest projects i've taken on. i had to strip the movement and shave down 2 mm of the diameter, modify the keyless works, retrofit the pam crown to a stem that doesn't even come close to fitting, stretch the hour wheel to fit the pam hands, crimp the hand tubes, custom mixed vintage superlume. i had to also cut a spacer to fit the movement and mount securely in the case and do a full service clean and lube on the movement..... not for the timid!! the result? i love this watch! too bad it's not mine ....AND HOLY CRAP THIS THING IS LOUD!!!
  22. done! you want pics?? or should the surprise come in the mail?
  23. thanks pman! couldn't have got it without you. enjoy your lume
  24. very close! imagine if we can get gen dials and crowngaurds......
  25. sandwich dials seem more c1ish and sausage dials seem more c3ish but both look different.
