Hello all, I am looking to have a RB 2 built from the ground up by an expert. I saw that someone had a really nice looking RB II made up. I am looking to get a watch (located in the EU) and have all the extras built in. Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction of who to talk to about faceplate mod // lume and original AP deployment strap? - I am also open to buy someone already custom RB 2 if you are located in Europe in fact any franken(ish) APs I would buy. Help authenticating a Gen AP Diver Dial/Case Hey guys, I have been given the opportunity to buy a gen dial for an AP Diver. I found it on a gen forum, but not really sure about it. It looks good, but so do rep dials, so I may pass. I just wanted to get some feedback from ypu guys as to whether or not it is really a gen dial. Also, if it is gen, will a modder even be able to make it work? Are the dimensions the same? Will the date wheel line up? I have never seen anyone franken a diver, so I am not sure... Hello All, Hope you are all well. Man you guys really know your stuff! I have been watching for a while and I’m hooked bad! First post - here goes. The AP reps look amazing - they are so close to the gens it's hard to justify not getting one at the price! After loads of reading and trying to choose one to start my new hobby with I opted for the V2 AP Diver - which by the time I’d made my mind up was out of stock everywhere. So after seeing some of the amazing pics of the Montauk from you fine people I decided to go for it and contacted Toro - nice bloke and great do deal with, answered all my many questions. I will definitely be ordering from him again. I ordered the watch and it arrived in about 10 days – happy! The watch is amazing! I’m so happy with this. Was a little worried post ordering that the colour was not really me but as I took the bubble wrap off I was sold!!! Toro forgot to send me the QC pics before sending but I’ve got to say he really came through regardless. The watch is perfect – flawless imo. I will get a new strap – contacted Aaron already. The one it came with isn’t that bad – fits nice (I have large wrists) and been wearing it all day. It will do for the moment anyways but the HKTan will be the icing. Keeping perfect time and no problems so far – apart from the amount of time my eyes are on it whilst I’m driving!! I have been told by Toro mine was the last one out of 100 produced so already kind of a collectors piece. I have tried to take some pics but they came out shocking!! I am trying to brush up on my technique and will update with some pics ASAP. Thanks again to everyone for this forum and all the contributions made by its members.

Hey RWG, There's a formal occasion coming out (just formal, no black/white tie specified) and I was wondering which watch (rep or gen) to purchase to display an aptitude for watch prowess. The only problem is, about three people out of the few hundred or so will actually know the truly high end brand names (IWC, Piguet for example) and still believe that a Rolex (although OK) is some sort of godlike watch that will slice bread, do the laundry and shows not only you have status but are a 'refined' (lol) man. So, for this what watch do you think I should get? The budget is ~ $5K but I don't honestly want to spend anywhere near that much tbh on a watch that has to impress a group of randoms that will only be seen (hopefully) once (the suit, pants should be chipped in more imo). The thing is that they must be impressed immediately upon sighting the watch. A pre-owned reverso ultra-thin looks nice to me; but I'm not too sure. Anyone with real-field experience that can shed some light into this matter? EDIT: Nothing with any sort of gold please. It seems tacky to me. EDIT2: To give an indicator of the group consider this: Currently the most impressive watch known to me is 'apparently' a gunmetal bvlgari (gen) (I dunno which model) which was ~$1200.
