Looks fabulous--gotta love the justifiably famous MBW brushing. blue for me please.

Yes, the Jumbo did have solid casebacks in the version w/o the second hand--the new, clear back version I believe has a seconds hand. I don't know whether or not the construction is like gen, but in any event, I almost never disassemble my watches in front of people.

It is likely just me but I don't like the lack of a seconds hand.

Looks too much like quartz to me. Why not build them with a quartz movement and lower the price, the caseback is closed so no one would know the difference.

The versions with a seconds hand were only made with open casebacks, is that accurate?

If they made a gen with a seconds hand and closed caseback, then I think I would be up for that rep.

If we did that, this modded would nothing rather than MBW with quartz movement. Anyway, I can try and ask him whether he will do it or not. :) Quite good idea anyway. :)

Cheers,

Paul

The dial is stil wrong for a 15002, which was the last Jumbo with closed case back.

Thanks for a very good comment. Do you have pics of the genuine one? If I have the gen dial for AP 15002, I can ask him to replicate the dial for almost 95%. However, the minimum order have to increase to 100 pieces. :(

Unfortunately I don't have a pic but some details.

The 15002 has

- No numerals

- Thinner and longer hour markers

- Swiss Made or T-Swiss Made-T below the six o'clock marker, not besides it

- no date window surrounding

- The word AUTOMATIC between the hand post and six o'clock, not below the AP logo

- Lume between the A and the P in the logo.

The (for me) biggest flaw of the MBW Jumbo is the case construction, which is completely wrong.

A Royal Oak Jumbo - and that is the clue to the watch - does not have a case back!! It is a one piece case!!

I know about the case matter, mate. However, I did ask him about this as well. He would do the new case if we have the genuine one for him + 1000 pieces order :(

So this is the closest that we can do for this one. :)

Cheers,

Paul

AP 15202ST Guys...

AP 15202ST!!

Seems like some members

"lost" their AP-Knowledge...

This is the model the mbk replica

tries to imitate.

Dozens of threads about this

particular replica...

B/R

George

The 15202 has a see through case back that we want to eliminate to hide the cheap ETA. So a 15002 is the only solution.

i understand...

anyway, a closed case-back or see-thru is

less obvious than a "false" dial

because of the imprint "automatic" at

the wrong place and different hour markers/hands.

If mr.N**piek is willing to replicate a

15002 dial, that sounds good.

To my knowledge there has never been a decent

15002ST replica concerning the watch-dial.

Even the "new" jumbo 15300ST replica is closer to gen

and they did a very good job with the dial

and markers.

Bigest problem will be the dial.

I saw some gen 15002 dials on the bay and on the

net from time to time - pricing is 200,-
