Date window lacks the bevel, date font to thin, Hands look thin as well, crown to long and all the printing is not bold enough

The big difference that really stands out to me is the integreated bezel. Notice on the gen how flat/wide the top surface/face of the lip is, and how the bevel is relatively steeper/more angled as a result. The rehaut looks a little shallower on the gen as well.

None the less, I've got mine on order and will see how it looks/wears when it arrives.

Another thing that seems to stand out for me is that the lugs appear to be twice as long on the rep as the gen. The fonts are wrong also- the rep have squared ends where the gen has rounded...

It's unfortunate that they seem to have botched this one. I sincerely hope it's not just the old Mark XV replica with a new bezel and hands. If that's the case, avoid it at all costs.

The way the Mark XV rep is constructed is a joke. The whole watch is held to together by the case back.

Unfortunately, I fear this is the same case. The Mark XV rep was 39mm (the gen was 38mm), which oddly makes it the correct size for the Mark XVI (gen is 39mm). I think it was just too tempting for the makers to re-use the old case.

There's something off about the entire package. It's not as elegant, if you will, as the gen. Hand shape is off, case shape, etc. WM9 will make a killing on this rep.

At the exacting pace WM9 works, expect that for Christmas, 2011.

Not a knock against George .. a craftsman works at the pace perfection dictates. It's just reality.

Regarding this new XVI ... sloppy. As another commentator remarked "it loses all of it's elegance"
