vlydog Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 A real beauty B! Is this one in the stable?
Demsey Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 Wow! That is sharp! That's probably the sportiest Rolex dress watch I've ever seen. I can't believe the run was so short. Think of the dial/bracelet combos they might have come up with..................... Do you own this one JJ?!
JoJo35 Posted November 17, 2009 Author Report Posted November 17, 2009 Thanks guys I couldn't pass this one up after I saw how clean it was
Gatchaman Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 I've never seen this style before. Thanks for posting the pics!
lanikai Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 Very sharp JJ.. nice job in removing the gash in the crystal A C Lani
Stephane Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 Great find Jojo. It's a beauty and very "different".
Stephane Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 Found one this morning I cannot afford that kind of rarity though http://www.rlx-sales.com/en/sales/offers/detail.php?id=u15465t125841960244&suche=887715554d403a678d7e61b7bf0ede7e1258448691&pageNum_qListe=0
TeeJay Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 I'm not too keen on the 'shoulders/lugs' of the case, as it's the same style as the VCO and Ingenieur, which I felt was quite a 'harsh' case-style. However, I absolutely love the dial, and the markings being on the rehaut is an awesome touch, which makes the dial appear larger, so I suspect this could have the same kind of wrist presence as a Sub, simply because of the apparent dial size A fine piece for any collection, congratulations on the acquisition
jmb Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 I usually don't like "CG-less" watches but the dial on this one makes me not even notice the lack of! It looks great! I "see" a milling project in the future! ;-)
jmb Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 JoJO, could you pop up some details of the lugs (front/back/side), lug holes, back, etc.? I feel a hair-brained scheme coming on...
gioarmani Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) Dammit--needs pics!!! Edited November 20, 2009 by gioarmani

By-Tor Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 I guess this was about Rolex Oysterquartz. Well here's a good site which is all about this model: http://www.oysterquartz.net/
jmb Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 By-Tor, I think the case was similar to these quartz pics but it didn't say quartz on it anywhere and the minute markings were on a bezel insert or rehaut...
