A Monochromatic Day

It's cold and snowing outside today; a perfect opportunity to try out some new pics.

It's been a while since I've picked up the camera, so I thought I'd try something a little different. Gone are the usual granite backdrop with color hues displaced by greyscale tones.

Thoughts? I'm getting somewhat bored of the granite and looking for some new ideas :)

Thanks, gang! ^_^

Oddly enough, these images were rather 'meh' in color; it wasn't until I converted them to B&W that I really started liking them.

Still not sure what to use for the new background moving forward, however :g:

Lani- We'll coordinate a call with kruz sometime soon. I spoke with him for the first time in over a week yesterday; he's had a rather eventful past few days as well!

R- Here's your pic :)

Thanks again for the very kind words everyone! As always, much appreciated!

Good night, RWG...

I believe that it was Ansel Adams who said, a B&W Photo forces the viewer to concentrate on the content, not so with Color photos that have the colors vieing for the attention of the viewer. Beautiful photography by a super nice guy.

Have a wonderful Christmas season, and a safe and prosperous New Year.

Cheers

Arthur

That is Periodical material R

That's exactly what I was thinking! These pics look like the Baum-Mercier ads on the pages of The Wall Street Journal or the Times

composition, but you are absolutely right. You notice the designer's 'intent' beyond the marketing department's 'hook'.

These are cool Ubi. Maybe the next 'new' thing in a wrist shot? :whistling:
