Trying to fit in without stirring things up. But I thought someone might have been confused by TT's post 'bout censorship following mine, so glad to be able to clear it up. Not speaking for TT or anyone for that matter.. I think it was just a broad statement as I would imagine a lot of PM's are going to Admin members regarding this thread.. I never took it that you were stating that.. and reality being .. "what one perceives it to be", we all have different realities..and in this hobby realty can differ.. funny that we are dealing with rep watches .. The more you "evolve" in this hobby, one's reality changes (for lack of a better word).. if more knowledge equates to change.. we all do that here..what you fancy when you first get here, your interest may differ greatly in a year or 2. All the Forums all have their plus and minuses .. their different age brackets.. taste..just being yourself always works best me thinks.... the knowledge I've learned here far surpasses anything I could of imagined .. coming here for 1 rep.. staying getting involved.. "perceiving" watches and the people here much differently than 3 years ago. I'm not saying we are the best out of the forums.. but the best for me.. yes.. everyone should believe that their choice is the best for "them".. and there are those who call all 3 home.. nothing wrong with that.. We are here to support your quest for knowledge and hopefully someday soon you will be working on modding or fixing your own watches..that "reality" was not even thought of by me in the beginning. @P4.. I'm no different.. it's a numbers game with these reps.. the law of averages and chaos theory all pan out.. try 3 DOA of the same watch..I get em.. you just don't hear about it.. I am completely indifferent about the situation, whatever that is regarding what is going on with RWI. I personally could not care. Read my post again. First, I never mentioned anyone's specific name anywhere. Second, I made a personal observation and opinion on the practice. Take that with what a grain of salt. I've dealt with nearly every modder and many of the dealers on every forum and have purchased their products and services. I then make my decisions on how to proceed with future business with them accordingly. Don't extrapolate or read anything more into what is written. Thanks Oh, really? This: I've had enough PMs from people on that forum, and personal observations to put two and two together that something is amiss and wrong with how it is operated/managed. Certainly sounds like calling out the staff to me. If not, who on earth on you insinuating is doing the mismanaging? Have the courage of your convictions, man! Let's hear all the operational and managerial errors that you've seen and been PM'd about. Again, I'm all ears. I'd honestly like to hear them. Sorry, am I being precious again? Good to hear RWI will be back up and running shortly. In the meantime I hope the folks who normally hang out at RWI will share ideas and watches with folks over here and visa versa. Forums come and go, moderators come and go but what stays are the wonderful friendships which come out of our crazy thirst for horological knowledge. That's why there are always lots of people hanging around where the accidents happen. They say "how terrible" but deep down they'd just LOVE to see some serious damage... even dead people. That's also why we have the "yellow press" and reality TV... and that's why people make the Internet drama (often out of nothing). There's another name for that, it's "social porn". The most viewed thread in RWG is "Little White Lies". I wish my reviews got even 1/10 of that attention. Ah almost forgot... carry on!
