sneed12
What are you using for the datewheel? Does a datewheel with overlay already installed from a 2836 fit on this movement, or do I need to install a datewheel overlay on the 2893?
FxrAndy
You should be able to use the one from the 2836

ubiquitous
What are you using for the datewheel? The 2836 wheel will still work with the 2824/2892/2893, though you may potentially run into datewheel clearance issues under the dial, dial feet problems (if you raise/space the dial to clear the datewheel, you might not have enough of the dial foot/peg to secure with the clamp), and also pinion height issues. 2824 datewheel on the left; 2836 on the right: If you're stacking an overlay on top of that, then the clearance issues are even worse. FxrAndy
UBi 2893 date wheels are raised like 2836 ones because of the GMT parts

JoeyB
I am sure that the hour min and seconds from the 2836 will work and i would assume that the GMT hand will, the 2893-2 gmt wheel is 1.80, does any one know what the 2836 gmt hand is? The ETA 2893-2 GMT wheel is 1.80, the same as Genuine Rolex. The modified ETA 2836-2 we get from our Chinese friends vary, but most seem to be 2.00. The handstack is the same on both, and correct for the Rolex 6542, as freddy333 said, and the early 1675. The ETA 2893-2 will fit anywhere the ETA 2836-2 fits, but it is slightly thinner. Mine lined up perfectly, stem and all, in the Silix case I used in my project.
FxrAndy
Thanks for that Joey I think with a bit of work and a staking tool the issue hand could be used then

Jkay
Hi FxrAndy. Do you have any of these left over? My eta gmt2c is getting squirrelly.
cib0rgman
The GMT IIc will fit for sure...as Concepta had Corum 2893-2's fitted into his super Franken GMT's he has for sale. But for this you need to raise the hands and that will extra on top of the price.
