b16a2 Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 I have always found myself being pulled towards Breitling and IWC. Last year, I discovered Glashutte, and am very impressed by some of their watches especially the Pano-Dates that they use. Another brand I have found myself glancing at more and more over on TZ is JLC...I saw Jenson Button sporting a JLC MCC in a news article a while ago, and since then I can't stop looking at the unique designs that they create. Of them all, the MMC and the Memovox are my favourites. I'm not a great fan of the reverso because I've never been square watch person, but I certainly appreciate it for it's uniqueness....which is what I think the JLC brand is all about....high precision and unique styling. So tell me, am I mad and alone on this one, or do we have some more JLC fans in here JLC Master compressor Chrono JLC Memovox
Toadtorrent Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Memovox? MEMOVOX?? WHERE'S HACKR???
nikki6 Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 I had him killed, that Momovox was the last straw!! Sixx

nikki6 Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 He will just stink the place out, he cried then pooed himself before I had him killed!! It's on youtube if you want a good giggle!! Him and Dluddy have both got the Memovox, they are stunning watches, no one seems to do them anymore unfortunately and the price of a good 2nd hand one is up around the
dluddy Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Love the Memovox I had a rep of the Extreme Chorno a few years back. I love JLC
nikki6 Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 That's it D, you just made the hitlist too!!! Sixx
deltatahoe Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 i'm definitely a jlc fan; as far as the reverso goes, i think the rectangle version is really the only way to go (therein lies the jlc reverso history) -- it is a classic dress watch look imho. while the recent larger square models (squadra) are perhaps a little more modern, i think in 10 years' time the classic rectangular reverso cases will still be the most sought after reverso models. that master compressor chrono is a beauty; not so sure about the memovox just my $0.02 of course deltatahoe
nikki6 Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 You too D-Hoe!! On the killing bus along with D and hackR!!! (Although I do agree about the Reverso!! That's not gonna save you though!! Mwwhahahahahaha) Sixx
freddy333 Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Not a fan of their extreme designs, but I love their more plain-Jane models (especially those with a power gauge)
nikki6 Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 I think there is one of those in the FS section, it's been up for a while, but I'm sure it's still there! Very nice as ever Freddy, you may pass the bus unmolested! Feel free to make hand gestures at the current passengers on the way past!! Sixx
deltatahoe Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 *ahem* didn't you see my reference that the memovox isn't for me?!? don't make me break out my ninja throwing stars deltatahoe ps, don't call me a 'hoe!! it's deltatahoe
slickdick Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Not a fan of their extreme designs, but I love their more plain-Jane models (especially those with a power gauge) Got the same, great watch, good movement. Got to love asymetric dial.
dluddy Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Agree Freddy. Love the Reserve de Marche

usmctowgnr Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Sorry for my ignorance but I saw Jaeger fans and this is what came to mind:
Watchmeister Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 I have tremendous respect for JLC and love their movements but do not like much of their new stuff. The watch I aspire to own these days is the older white gold with grey dial Master Geographic. That is my perfect dress watch. Only you and other JLC fans know it is white gold and I love that dial.
kronos twin Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Tribute to polaris. that thing is so awesome
nikki6 Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 You guy's are killing me here!!! I really need one of those Memovox!! Sorry Delta, no offense meant!! Pfft, who am I kidding, get on the bus HOE!!! Sixx
nikki6 Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Holy crap balls!! Want a JLC carkey?!? Now that would be one to look cool with the girls with!! Sixx
b16a2 Posted February 20, 2010 Author Report Posted February 20, 2010 Some very nice JLC's around here! I remember when they released that JLC, it was originally for the DBS. I must admit I am not the biggest fan of that particular one.....but what a selling point!
