What's The One Watch That You Swore

AP. I thought I would never buy one and then I did. I went for some really expensive ROO ultimate whatever edition. Opened the package, slapped it on the wrist, looked at it for a minute... and threw it back on the forum for sale almost immediately. They're just nasty silly looking things.

Similar thing happened with Hublot. I swore I'd never buy one. But when I did and the HBB arrived, my jaw dropped. Stunning!!

Rolex. Always thought everyone owning one was the biggest Shmok, now I own an almost complete gen 6265 and have a modern Daytona and two vintage Submariners on my wishlist.

Panerai. Stupid watch. Too big and silly crown guard. Now I cannot prize my 048 from Narikaa off my wrist. I hate crown guards but this is awesome and I am in love with the cg on this watch now.

Growing up, the cool brand was TAG-Heuer and Rolex was a cliché worn by old men and poseurs.

So either my tastes have become more refined, or... :wheelchair:

I used to work for this company where the big thing for the sales guys were Tag watches. They knew nothing about watches but whenever they made a bug sale they'd come into the office to brag about their Tag watches. They were also complete [censored] of course.

When I see cheap tag watches they always remind me of sales guys in cheap suits.
