seroberts Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 My very first rep, I bought about 6 years ago. Functioning crono, sec @9 keeps perfect time. Every time I think about selling her, I put her on my wrist I fell'in love with this hobby.
arty909 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Almost five years old- can't manually wind it any more, but keeps great time and all chrono functions perform flawlessly:
freddy333 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Freddy, can you share a little bit more about this one? Wich case, movement, dial have you used etc My watch, which came from Honpo (there are many threads about Honpo that you can find via the Search, but he only sells to buyers in & around Japan), is powered by an A7750 that I converted to manual-wind & then threw on a bunch of gen parts (crystal, crown/tube, bracelet, etc). The modified movement allowed me to replace the caseback with 1 of DW's V72 (low-profile) casebacks & I also fit 1 of DW's 300 UPH bezels, which was the bezel style that came fitted to the initial run of 6239s. I should also mention that the watch, as received, was in terrible condition (loose, ill-fitting parts, dirty movement, etc) , so I overhauled everything & it has been running well ever since. If you or anyone else are interested in constructing a 7750-powered 62xx Daytona, DW is selling cases (& handsets) on the bay for an unbelievably low price. I would encourage you to check it out.
hpy540 Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Nice thread i will post when i get my camera back.
tmg Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 (edited) Here's my DW 6263 with VJ23 movement Edited February 26, 2010 by toomuchgear

Thanks for the answer Freddy! Its a real beauty... I have a rather limited knowledge about the dayontas = ) But I liked this one very much, more then the dial with the red dayotna over the 6
