1570 vs 1575 is a bit of a moot point. Even 1655 and 1675 have 1570 marked movements, and they are GMT models. And even the 1016 can have a 1570.

I have a 1570 in my 1680, originally from a date model 1601.

oh yes, they will all be non-quickset. the quick set date feature wasn't introduced until the 3035.

Thanks Guys, I am leaning towards a white dial as i like it more, it could still be authentic as service replacement.

I think the hardest bit will be a silver date wheel for a 2486 untill or if a 1570 ever turns up.

Thanks Tribal i may just look for one

if this was to be a 1970 but had been serviced then a white dial is possible with a 703 crown and a 93150 bracelet and 580 endlinks (going this route as i prefer the parts and the look and they will be easier to get) also i want white not yellow markers and hands.

Has any one got a puretime 1665 and changed the movement and date wheel???

I want your old date wheel :whistling:

What i am aiming for, if i can engrave a low 3mill serial number than it would be 1970 with a non hacking movement, a white service replacement dial sill some lume

Like the one I built! Stilty's 1680

Mine is a custom case with a 1972 serial. I used the serial from the donor 1601 case. If you are looking for a service dial, I would use it with a gen movement. They are expensive and I don't recommend cutting off the feet to fit on an ETA.

A the cash

B a gen movement

C a gen dial

I think i will relume the MBW dial and hands with white tritec SL
