It's been a while since this question came up. :)

From what I remember the last time this was answered, no-one has ever found any evidence that a genuine Colamariner model was ever made, but there may have been a Datejust with red dial and the Coca Cola logo on.

Yeah it has been a while since this popped up, in fact I was the last one to ask this question back in my noob days and got a right royal baking for it too.

Back then I was assured that it was in fact a fantasy watch.

Pure fantasy. There are some double signed dials out there, and for the right price, you can even have your existing dial printed with an additional logo on it (if you can find the space). If the watch was genuine Rolex, the additional printing wouldn't be sanctioned, and if you sent the watch in for service, Rolex would probably refuse to seervice until you agreed to let them install a new dial on it. But sure, anything is possible ^_^

Ha Ha...yes, it's been a while.

I heard so many answers that I still don't know what's the truth.

Fantasy? Sure!

Made for the Coca-Cola employees at one time? Sure!

Re-created again for our pleasure? Sure!

Hell...what about MY FROGMARINER? GEN OR REP? Hmmmmm...I wonder.

Norbert, I LOVE that 25 years of service watch! ..one of the very very few Rolexes I would want to own..

And yeah Phoband, they were newbs like us.. ...back when their mullets interfered with the balance wheels, and Duran Duran was played full blast on the stereo behind locked doors so their parents would think they were masturbating.. ...instead of messing around with grandpa's best Rolex or counterfeit watches... :brow:

Ahh - now that one we definitely can answer. Apparently one of our very own dealers came up with that one (along with the Harley Mariner....)

One of the most "classy" rolex dial is certanly the "cartier" dial made on some explorer 1.

Incredible how those 2 name can be co-branded in a watch, as they are probably the most notorious luxury watch maker for general public, but competitor.

Yes, I know...

But, I came up with the Crawfish-Mariner and the Fleur-de-Mariner! One day...One day!

I believe the Colamariner was xKenzo's idea, and the Frogmariner was created by Paul (aBay).

Come on guys! FROGMARINER was my idea, I stole it fair and square from the German board, but I'm the one that did the final design work and talked Paul into producing it. Both of my sons have a FROGMARINER of their own so they can remember dear old dads when I'm gone and otherwise forgotten (like you guys have already forgotten me)!

Hmmm...I couldn't get him to make my 2 designs. But, he liked them. I think the deal was that I needed to get 100 people to agree to buying them and he'd do it. But, I only had about 4. :(

The dial should be one of the easier bits to do... The expensive stuff like tooling up for the case is already done.

Like all reps, it depends on the size of your specific case & dial. Dimensional consistency, like overall QC, is not a common trait of reps (that is 1 of the things that differentiate a $300 rep from a $10,000 gen).
