Regulating to +2 sec/day, ubi style

When I first rec'd my Tudor chrono, it was averaging around -25 sec/day. Somewhat irritating losing 1 min/4 days...

So, I decided to do something about it. Here's how I 'regulate' to +2 sec/day without a timing machine... Simply swap the movement with a NOS 7734 :p :

And out with the old. Movement is looking pretty dirty...

So, there you have it... Think I'll have the old one serviced sometime soon and then build something else out of it. For the time being, it will be nice having something that keeps good time on the wrist :)

Thanks for looking...

I didn't realize how badly the movement swap was actually needed. Much different watch now... Smoother winding, better chronograph operability... And of course better time keeping. What a difference!

Now that I've essentially rebuilt/replaced most of this watch since receiving it, I've arrived at the conclusion that I should have just started this one from scratch. Would have been far less costly in the long run...

Oh well... It's been a fun learning experience at least! :)
