Ronin
Bandwidth Burner Ahead, lots of photos. Hot off my workbench, SOXA 2.0 SeaRambler edition. This watch started life as a a Noah Fuller creation that I bought from a forum memeber. While there was nothing wrong with the original version, I have been lusting after a SeaRambler, but the budget won't allow a Gen. So I give you the next best thing. Lets kick this off with some Before and After: Noah SOXA (Before) Ronin SOXA 2.0 SeaRambler (After) Noah SOXA (Before) Ronin SOXA 2.0 SeaRambler (After) The Inspiration for the project: The Process / Parts: Base watch - Seiko SKX007 7s26 movement AR Coated Sapphire Crystal (No More Hardlux here) Yobokies SOXA Insert Yobokies Anvil Bracelet with Watchadoo (Sterile) Clasp Doxa Hands (from Yobokies) Process Fun Stuffs, Strap Combos, and more... Nanuq
Outrageously cool! You solved the bezel insert problem to take it over the top... first one of those I've seen. Nicely done!

redwatch
That bezel makes it!!! WOW!!! Does anyone make an aftermarket beads of rice bracelet for these? That would top it off for sure!!! Where did you source the bezel from?
redwatch
Ronin - found this on the bay. Would that fit this watch?
hiker01
DUDE! That's hot! Simply Amazing.........now, can you actually take it down 200M?
Ronin
Ronin - found this on the bay. Would that fit this watch? Sweet, but unfortunately no. That is 18mm, these Seikos are 22mm, and GEN DOXA is 20mm. Sigh.... On a positive note Doxa is using this simlar Anvil style bracelet on their 800 and 5000 models. To answer your other question Bezel is from Yobokies. http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t208/yobokies/?start=all DUDE! That's hot! Simply Amazing.........now, can you actually take it down 200M? While I am looking to get Nitrox certified, I fear I prefer "Recreational" dive depths. I am having it pressure tested tomorrow, I am sure it will be fine-- it is a Seiko underneath after all. Ronin
I vote for a 'Pass Around' !!!! I have 60% of the parts needed to build a second one. I would be game, parts needed; -Seiko SXK007 donor case/movement (we can stick with Hardlux crystal to keep costs down) -Dial ...everything else I have. Being a Seiko, it would/should easily survive life as a PAW.
Ronin
Some have asked about Lume. Dial and Bezel = "Standard Rep Lume" Average. Hands like Gen = C1 SuperLuminova.
Saander
That bezel is a real WINNER sir very nice and solid built soxa And imho that bezel + 6309 vintage case soxa would be better than the gen! (almost)
