PaulVanDyk Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 anyone knows what suit/shirt/tie is hugh laurie wearing on the cover of French GQ Magazine?
KB Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 Way too hard to pick from that photo, I can say it's a 2 button small lapel suit and the tie is not silk but thats about it. Ken
Ronin Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 Any French members out there with access to a news stand? IIRC in the "show credits" for House, Hugo Boss is usually mentioned.
FxrAndy Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 On the subject of suits i am thinking of one of these I have had one good report any others because if it was good i would also be after one of these Yes i am a bond fan
Ronin Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Great looking suit Andy.... Classic. Great Price!
PaulVanDyk Posted December 19, 2010 Author Report Posted December 19, 2010 for those who were wondering about the answer, one of the members over at RG pointed out (correctly) that its Dior Homme
nikki6 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Andy, I would go for the first option personally. I always prefer the classic 3/4 button jacket, just makes the suit sit nicer I feel. Odd coming from me I know, but I used to wear one everyday for work and have a fair sized collection of suits! I may even have a sniff at the first one myself!! Sixx
FxrAndy Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 but it is nt cheep Nikky, and the wool is tempting but that ups the price as well
nikki6 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Yeah I heard the drop box say it was an extra $200! But quality is quality! Wonder if Ken might have something similer?? It's a great sounding suit, have to admit I would go the wool route too! Sixx
creep Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 Too hard to say. But you can't go too wrong with a suit
Wactch101 Posted May 21, 2012 Report Posted May 21, 2012 Just looks like a black suit to me. Are you looking to buy the same suit then? I don't understand why people buy expensive designer off the rack suits. When for not that much money you can get a tailor made suit from Asian, and even get them to make it from the same material at a fraction of the cost. 2 button dark suit, notch lapels with hand stitching around the edge. no button hole. center back pleat. working button holes on the cuff. tailored slim fit. add a nice watch to that and you will be looking good
peterpl Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 (edited) A taylor made suit will beat any off the shelf suit in terms of fitting for any individual just pay a bit more for the best material available. I like my suits to be light/soft and confortable. I got heaps of taylor made suits from my visits to Thailand/China and let me tell you the fitting is superb. Much much better fitting than off the shelf stuff. Compared to my off the shelf suits which cost anywhere between $400-$1500 my custom made suits (cost between $200-$400) are much much nicer to wear and the quality if the same if not better. Doesnt matter if it says Armani/Bally or any other brand nothing beats custom made. Edited June 5, 2012 by peterpl 1
Guest Darren Walker Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) It looks similar to James Bond Skyfall Tuxedo Suit. It is meant to electrify the viewers with the very first of its look. The black color represents the male dominance and superior when wearing for Prom Parties or Weddings.
