I am putting together a V72 6263 project for a friend and would like to know where I might get a rep bridge that is engraved with Rolex Geneva as opposed to the donor watches engraving (Wittnauer, Enicar etc etc). Have seen gens on the bay for silly money but am not interested, a nice cheap and cheerful rep bridge - as long as it works fine on the movement is what I want so, esteemed colleagues what are your recommendations?

Thanks.

A number of the aftermarket dial sellers (Phong, NDT, MY, etc) have them. Beware that these do not fit some V72s as I found out when Ziggy was unable to install the 1 I got from Phong ($450). I cannot remember exactly what Ziggy said the problem was, but I think it had to do with the bridge's height.

You could probably use waterslide decals on a blank bridge. The Panerai guys do this on their movements all the time.

Thanks chaps. If it's not a straightforward fit I probably won't bother.

@ dizzy - would not a rep blank bridge suffer from the same issues that are mentioned by others in this thread?

Hi M...

i brought the movement as part of a Phong 6263 kit from a member here, would you believe its a Jaeger LeCoultre not sure if it was best to keep the JLC bridge on it but Micheal gave me a great deal on the Rolex Bridge so couldn't say no..

Cheers

The movement is nice and its on my first 6265 (a couple of years ago build). It had a gen dial, hands, gen bezel.

My later projects (6239 (sold), 6263 gen dial project & my 6262 PN Texas dial) did not keep the bridges
