jmb Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 I was looking through the watch box and realized I didn't have anything with a Jubilee Bracelet! Well, that just will not do... I had snagged a rough gray sunburst gen DJ dial for "just in case" and this predicament was the "just in case" I was looking for. I dug out an old rep case, a 2836, and a new rep Jubilee and went to work. The dial, from anything over a foot, looks pretty nice but on close-ups various stains show up and the tritium bumps that still remain are pretty much black. Probably at some later date I'll scrape off the rest and put some dots of more modern lume on it. Here's the pics...
redwatch Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 Looking good! Definitely need a jubilee in your collection at some point
alligoat Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 Nice job JB! I noticed there are no lugholes in the case- must be a later model!
jmb Posted June 21, 2011 Author Report Posted June 21, 2011 I wuz too lazy to drill 'em so I figured I'd try to slide it through as a "later" model...
TeeJay Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 That really is what the DJs are all about: Understated elegance which will fit any situation, that's truly one of those watches someone could wear every day till the day they die, and never need another watch
krpster Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 "Just in case" If I had a nickel for every time I heard that Nice piece J.
lhooq Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 Mm... Slate dial... Not the easiest dial to read, but definitely one of the prettiest!
