Check out my new crown

I unpackaged this crown yesterday, it was sold to me as a genuine rolex 703...

Never seen one like it. A very nice man suggested I post pictures of it here

Have a look and tell me what you think it is, and where it came from..pics taken with a 4x loupe over my phone lens..

It is about the same width as my gen 703's, but look at the thick rim underneath and it is not as tall as my others.....

I bought one just like this once, I will look for it. came with a tube as well. exterior looks gen, but wont screw on a gen tube. does this fit a gen tube?

I haven't tried a gen tube yet, it came with it's own tube.

So..if I'm hearing you guys correctly.. you don't think it's genuine.

I thought on a longshot, maybe it was a version of 700 series I hadn't seen before.

Yep, I can't see it screwing on a gen (or decent aftermarket) tube either. When you look at the pic of the inside, it's too thick. Gen crowns are thinner on the inside.

On second thought, maybe calling it an MBW is too specific and too presumptuous of me. The important thing is that it's not a gen.

The 700 (from what I have seen on pictures) will be narrow like that one, but will have the crimped back not machined finished.

I couldn't remember where I put that similar crown I was sold. Then I remembered I installed it on my ttk noobmariner. Fit right on the stock noob tube, and is closer in size to gen than the one that came on it.
