Does any of our trusted dealers here offer such service? and if so, could you please refer me to one? Also, a couple of questions please: 1- Is it worth it? and what's the average cost. 2- If I have it polished, will it entirely remove the scratches? Does buffing thin the metal out? 3- Is there any difference between buffing and polishing anyway. Im sort of clueless. Thank you

Depends how deep they are and how aggressively you want the watch polished. The deeper they are, the more metal needs to be removed to eliminate them. Does buffing thin the metal out?Yes.
TeeJay Posted October 2, 2011 Report Posted October 2, 2011 As mentioned above, buffing will reduce metal away from the case (not really noticeably though, other than the change in the polish) Personally, I've always felt that a few scratches (even on non-vintage watches) makes them more personal, and in the past, I never used to feel a watch was 'mine' until I'd dinged it somehow
Jkay Posted October 2, 2011 Report Posted October 2, 2011 Your bracelet needs to be re-textured and your polished surfaces need polishing. A talented modder will do a better job than the factory.

txrob779 Posted October 16, 2011 Report Posted October 16, 2011 I recondition brushed Oyster bracelets with 3M 000 synthetic steel wool..just brush it with the grain with a little silicone lube and it works fantasic..I even used the method on my gen 16610's bracelet...works great and a guy fro TRF sent me the youtube link on how to do this.
