You can't touch or get this close to green sea turtles, specially if done in US waters. That's considered harassment under the Endangered Species Act of 1973. Really? that's great to know, I'll keep that in mind if I'm ever snorkeling in US waters. This picture however, was not taken in the US, and we observed all local laws and guidelines when dealing with the ocean wildlife. Also that you can get in trouble if this happens in the US (since you list your location as the Bay Area). Just as a reminder, collecting/owning reps in the US is not illegal. I don't think so, only rubber and the faux croc. The gen does though. Maybe the factories will get on it if there's a lot of interest.
