Tribal
Shouldn't be that vintage as I got it brand new in a modern (meaning closed plastic blister with RFID chip) packaging. - Case Set $460 - Watch with SA3135 $398 - Dial $260 - Hands $130 - Crown, Tube, Spring Bars and all case gaskets $180 - Crystal $140 - Date Wheel $45 - Bezel Insert $120 So roughly $1733 so far. For parts I have my secret sources... Sometimes I think rolex dont care what they sell as new... Its a vintage Crown look at the shape of the crown on it.. gmtlover
will a 3135 movement fit a 1:1 rep DSSD case? or doesn't a 1:1case exist from a DSSD? Are there like this Sub case from etaswiss also DSSD cases?

highoeyazmuhudee
this is actually pretty awesome. too bad you have to buy a whole watch just to get that SA3135 tho. how are the time keeping accuracies on this movement?
chefcook
so far it is running with -5 seconds per day. In contrast to a genuine 3135 it has a regulator, so adjusting it is easy and does not take more than 5 minutes...

chefcook
Angus told me that a rep 3185 movement with correct hand stack will follow in about 4 to 6 months. I am already dreaming of building a 16710 or maybe 116710...

Valty
I like it ! Still very $$$ - like a BK / WM9 -, but I think we maybe will have decent Sub's at a good price one day with this new movement... We will see !
Tribal
I think the movement seems to be nice. But they must correct it to take gen Hands in the future. The build can be done cheaper with a Eta 2824 it will fit the Case for shure. Would like to see the bracelet that comes with Seans package. I remember that the Case comes also with Lugholes in the Past. So after this you must open your eyes when u buy a gen Sub. This will fool a lot of people who are not in our hobby As u know I build a lot of Subs in the past. Most with gen Parts. But this is state of Art. Respect to u Chefcook. Best Sub I've seen. Congrats.

chefcook
Thanks Tribal. So far it seems I am the only one complaining about the movement not taking ten hands. Others reported no problems with the hands but with the date wheel which strangely was easy peasy on my movement. I am still awaiting Sean's bracelet. So far I have no idea how good it is. On pics it looks good and I read somewhere that clasp and diver's extension should be awesome. For me end link fitment is everything. If the end links are good the rest does not matter. chefcook
So here it is in all it's gen lumeliness. Minute pinion and hour wheel were turned down to make the gen hands fit. The seconds hand worked out of the box. Sean's bracelet arrived this afternoon and though I hoped for better and link fitment I am pretty amazed by the quality, in particular clasp and diver's extension. The end links would be a lot better if the edges would not be that rounded. It is just a matter of finishing them more carefully.
Tribal
I will wait for the movement when it goes separately. Shape and fitment of the SELs is also important for me so keep me updated. I'm in touch with TC, his bracelet looks also good to me. He is so nice to send me two of them. Will see how good they are. But again best Sub I've seen. chefcook
Oh please keep me updated with the TC bracelet. If it really is full 20mm in width (not 19.8 like the CN bracelets...) it might be a good donor for end links.

There is too much gap to the Lugs I think? Also the middle link looks too long on the Pics. But maybe only on your Pictures. Clasp looks nice, how about the Diver extension? watcher
Amazing !!! It is making me want to build another now! I to am getting a TC band and hope it looks as good as the pics. The bralelet is the only thing on this that says rep and maybe the CG's looking slightly shorter than a gen case but hard to be sure in pics. You have the best Sub now buddy that is for sure!!!! I need to contact Sean!
Valty
I think it will be very interesting to compare the case with a BK / WM9 v2 or v3 Just shoot me a PM if you want me to take some photos of mine for comparison side by side (v3 with gen crystal, crown, tube, pearl)
