Justasgood Posted April 6, 2012 Report Share Posted April 6, 2012 My Gen Crystal and gasket are too big for my TC 16610/ The crystal and gasket just spin(easily) when installed and I can't press the retetion ring into place. danza1812 Posted April 6, 2012 Report Share Posted April 6, 2012 My gen crystal and gasket just clicked on over the rehaut, it can be moved to line up the bubble, pressing the retaining ring on was another matter! janeto72 Posted April 6, 2012 Report Share Posted April 6, 2012 r u sure the crystal is gen? you should be able to install the nylon gasket and crystal by hand. The retaining ring has to be pressed on.It is not easy to do and it probably won't go on easy.One side of the ring will go down first slowly.You will have to continue to rotate the case while slowly pressing down the retaining ring. alligoat Posted April 6, 2012 Report Share Posted April 6, 2012 I'd guess you need to try another gasket and maybe a crystal also. Like the rest say, the crystal and gasket should press on the case and then it's a tight press getting the crystal ring on. After that you need to check the TC case and make sure it's the correct width. Same old chinese/aftermarket conundrum- parts don't fit!
