asciwhite Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012 Stunning piece Donerix!!! Can`t get any better than this ♥
Donerix 2.0 Posted April 6, 2012 Author Report Posted April 6, 2012 Thank you I am not really a big bronze fan, but this one came out really nice...
frankt Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012 Nice looking watch, skillfully executed, but, the whole "bronze" thing still just looks like an old dirty gold watch to me...And I've seen more than enough of THOSE over the years...!
StormTooper4 Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012 That's well nice. Fantastic build. Did the case come with the crown?
watch.aholic Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012 That looks very classy......excellent build.
Donerix 2.0 Posted April 7, 2012 Author Report Posted April 7, 2012 Yes case came completely with crown.
hambone Posted April 7, 2012 Report Posted April 7, 2012 Now that is a classic. You have great talent Donerix
slask111 Posted April 7, 2012 Report Posted April 7, 2012 Looks great, im impressed. Sorry im a n00b, but the dial print has a "rolex" logo? Can somone teach me why that is the case
asciwhite Posted April 7, 2012 Report Posted April 7, 2012 Very early Panerai had Rolex pocket watch movements. Cal 540 if I am not mistaken. This "rep" has a Cortebert 616 wich is as close as you can come in a very good homage (If you do not have a Rolex movement) this is just a very very short summary. The history is much longer... So this Bronzo vintage watch has all the bells and wistles
Jkay Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 Yes, just engrave "Rolex" into the thin central bridge and you are complete It's so beautiful ....
slask111 Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 Awsome, thnx for the information. You learn something new everyday here
JEKS Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 OK Mr. Donerix, I've had enough of this. If that beauty is ever on the auction block, I call first dibs! Arg.... why..?
jbetts1790 Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 Looks great! did you have to shave the plexi to fit?
lhooq Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 Superb, E! I'm beginning to see what all the hubbub over bronze is about!
JEKS Posted April 12, 2012 Report Posted April 12, 2012 I'm from the Ministry of Magic, Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office, and I'm going to need to confiscate that there muggle time thingy. Please send it to...
hurt eesta Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 (edited) :clap3: Great... I don't like the crown on the dial, in any case is magnificent! :clap3: Edited April 13, 2012 by hurt eesta
Pre V Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 Amazing bronze project you have completed Eric. One thing about bronze cases, the patina accelerates much faster than any other metal materials. In time, you will have a vintagized look faster than you can imagine. Especially with the sun exposures you have at your location, can't wait to see the development in a couple of months, even weeks.
asciwhite Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 I found the right gif for this Or this! And the most apropriate..... TOO MUCH WANT!!!
