New 2012 aquaracer 500m - A step back?

Lost some of the Bold Design, smaller size (41mm), lost some originality and became looking like another common dive watch. At least for me. Looks good but looks more like an invicta. The ceramic bezel is cool, although.

Same-same, but different.. I was not too impressed by the last Aquatimer, and not by this one either. They are all variants on the same theme.

I would have kept the unique "carved" HeV design. This one looks like they stole a pallet of Planet Ocean helium valves from the Omega factory.

Brilliant, looks much nicer, no cyclops, better size...more in line with classic smp/sub. Dial is cool. Whats not to like. Lets get this repped!

I like it better than the old model. Would have been nice if they'd kept the date window on the left, though--it was distinctive.

In Blue? No, Black? Hell yes! I love the new pearl and the much cleaner overall design. Oversized in a 43mm would be perfect and I can see them doing just that (the Calibre 1887 was recently released in a 43mm if I am not mistaken)

I'm afraid you're right...they will not release the 41mm version...too bad is the perfect size for me

I just love how different people are! So many different opinions. I must admit that the watch is nice - the all-black in particular, but I still prefer the previous model. If the factories decide to copy this new version, one thing is clear: we won't have the poor logo issue, as the logo is now painted on the dial instead of applied to it. Every TAG replica with a painted logo has it correct.

Definitely like the previous version better with the date and cyclops on the left. The 43mm size was perfect and the bezel was much more eye catching.

I like it. The size is just right it lost the cyclops (which only belongs on a Rolex IMO) and the new dial is so much nicer!

My proverbial boner for this watch has recently been resurrected... so to speak. I think this will be my next gen purchase, I have also completely come around on the 41mm size.

Saw these at my local AD, they look and feel cheap, quite frankly awful watches.....
