rwgforumfan
I have 6" wrist. Do you think the 3717 will wear too big? Does anyone have the lugs measurement (north pole to south pole)? BTW, is it easy to remove the SS bracelet? I think it looks better with leather strap. Thanks!
mikolee
i think youl be fine. if your confident enough to pull it off then it will be ok. i know many girls who can pull of the 3717, most of them gen too:)

ogladio
Re bracelet, very easy to remove. Otherwise you can always buy it on rep leather A springbar tool is well worth the investment btw if you want to change straps and don't own one...
tomhorn
The case is 50mm lug to lug. My wrist is 6.75" if it helps.
Mike on a bike
14.7 in thickness, I don't know. At 42 dial not massive at all but with 50mm w/ lugs............ That extra .75 in. tomhorn has may just make the difference. Very nice looking by the way, your call.

Yours look fine but the lugs are going to stick out on my 6" wrist at 50mm lug to lug. Is there any IWC rep that is a bit smaller? woof*
They make this watch a notch smaller at 39mm. I don't know the model number but it's on Josh's site. Someone sold a used one last year on here I almost bought. One thing about the watch I'm talking about is its not going to be a new updated version like they keep updating the more common 3717. It may not be as accurate as the 3717.
woof*
You will have to click twice, open the page-close it and click again. The Mark XVI is 39mm, but it's not a chrono. http://www.puretime.co/product/mark-xvi-ss-11-black-dial-on-genuine-black-croco-leather-strap-a2892/
Mike on a bike
Good call tomhorn that looks nice for 6in wrist. Must say the chrono grabs me more but you have to wear what works for you. rwgforumfan I have the reverse problem with huge wrist plenty of watches I LOVE but can not wear. rwgforumfan
BTW, does IWC rep have a much lower chance of getting called out?
tomhorn
Out of the box the 3717 v3, and MK XVI are very good. With two mods they are excellent. You should get the ETA datewheel(s), and aftermarket AR coating for the crystal first if you are going to mod. Does the stock AR leave more to be desired? Edited June 1, 2012 by rwgforumfan
tomhorn
I thought the latest version of 3717 comes with double AR already. Does the stock AR leave more to be desired? It's good, but it's still rep AR and a little too blue IMO. My pic above is a v1 with a Taka AR'd crystal and the ETA day/date wheels. It was also re-lumed by Vac. apcollector
Ive got 6.5 inch wrists and it fits good, not sure how it will be on 6inches. Might be big. I'll post up a picture later of mine.
ogladio
I thought the latest version of 3717 comes with double AR already. Does the stock AR leave more to be desired? Not sure if the stock coating is single or double sided, but my view is that the rep crystal has rather poor visibility and also a certain glare which I don't like. Aftermarket AR makes the dial "pop" in a very appealing way. It's then matter of taste if you wish gen-like (Taka AR) or very clear look (e.g Chief AR). asiparks
my wife has the tiny 5 3/4" wrist of a Kenyan marathoner and it looks good on her, so it stands to reason.... ....
apcollector
No offence dude, that watch looks way to big on her. I know its fashion now to wear big ones, but seriously, how big will this craze go to.

ogladio
I think it's OK for a woman to wear a big watch like a bracelet. I have your back buddy!! Nothing better than skinny chicks and big watches, we should have a separate thread on that!
Mike on a bike
I would tend to agree on thw women it is a different story though, as it expected they are smaller. They also where all sorts of large braclets etc. Now if a skiiny guy with 6in wrist wears it looks wrong .
Bardamu
My wrist is 15,5 cm (= 6"). This is the result of Spitfire XVI (bought from Josh) : Paul
Guest Daytona1984
You can wear this beauty even though you have a small wrist. Go for one, it is a stunning watch!
