Muaitai Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 True, but just wanted to show overall quality. If TC are supposed to be gen spec then using both the Clark crystal retaing ring and bezel shouldn't be a problem. Maybe using the TC retaining ring and Clark bezel is where the problem lies in the fit. Cheers P. Clark's kit comes with crystal retainer and click spring 16610 16800 Sub for Rolex, so I guess we are good.
highoeyazmuhudee Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 the MBK ones werent bad to begin with, only problem was they were too short and caused all sorts of problems with gen inserts and retaining rings. the clark one looks really deep and thick.. hmmm
woof* Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 Funny you mention over polished, I bought Clark 1675 bezel set last week and it's the opposite. It's dull.
correctime Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 (edited) Thanks guys for sharing the info regarding this bezel assembly. Gary just shot an email with tracking number. When it arrives I'll do my best to compare it to the other various bezels I have on hand..... WM9 v2, BK TW, TC's and a gen assembly. Edited July 18, 2012 by correctime
justlounging Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 Funny you mention over polished, I bought Clark 1675 bezel set last week and it's the opposite. It's dull. mate..how is the bezel compared with WSO bezel? does it fit on top of WSO crystal retaining spacer?
Ephry73 Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 The over polishing can be either left alone, or dulled down with salt and boiling? E
woof* Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 mate..how is the bezel compared with WSO bezel? does it fit on top of WSO crystal retaining spacer? I haven't installed the 1675 bezel set on anything yet.
highoeyazmuhudee Posted July 20, 2012 Report Posted July 20, 2012 mate..how is the bezel compared with WSO bezel? does it fit on top of WSO crystal retaining spacer? forget the WSO assembly, its too loose a fit
gavidoc Posted July 22, 2012 Report Posted July 22, 2012 Gary said that his bezels will fit gen retaining rings so I got a 1680 and. 16610 (gotta love eBay bucks). Should arrive soon and I'll try them out on my gens.
dan_189 Posted July 22, 2012 Report Posted July 22, 2012 hope he does it right this time, his current ones are so close, the only ones ive seen with the correct hour hand size, his second hand is almost perfect. minute hand -not so much What are these clarks hands like compared to the TC sub? Are the TC subs hands closer to gen or as close to gen as your get get for an ETA movement?
irolexu Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 how does his new bezel compare to sean's bezel?
macjulivert Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 I put the retaining ring and the TWB bezel on my TC V4. Looks better than TC bezel.
woof* Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 I put the retaining ring and the TWB bezel on my TC V4. Looks better than TC bezel. You put the Clark retaining ring and a BKTW bezel on your TC?
macjulivert Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 (edited) You put the Clark retaining ring and a BKTW bezel on your TC? No, I put TWB retaining ring and TWB bezel on my TC. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD Edited July 24, 2012 by macjulivert
tjlocker Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 I put the retaining ring and the TWB bezel on my TC V4. Looks better than TC bezel. How is it better? It looks the same as TC bezel in your pictures.
Muaitai Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 I just got my bezel, the photos are not that good but you can get an idea.
macjulivert Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Well, I just bought one to see that this is ...
correctime Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 (edited) Very nice teeth. But here's what I've learned with mine. 1 - it has no flat tension spring washer but after cleaning the excess machining particles from the inner teeth and tweeking the click spring (very long style spring) has a nice rotation and precise click. 2 - my Clark bezel ring wouldn't correctly fit my WM9 v2, BK TW, TC or gen retaining rings. 3 - mine allowed a perfect fit of a gen insert with the help of a press...very nice feature...no more shaving insert bottoms 4 - but mine wouldn't fit the bezel ring to the crystal ring with a gen insert installed....retaining ring was about .75mm too tall 5 - mine fit the TC case and gasket by hand...no press needed...meaning the ID on mine was a tad too big There are of course variations from bezel to bezel but these were the findings of mine. For the price (and a little work) it's a great looking/functioning bezel....much closer to gen in appearance than the WM9, TW or TC bezel rings. Edited July 25, 2012 by correctime

I just bought one. Although the TWB bezel in the box is perfect TC, I want to try.
JoeyB Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Will this bezel fit the 1655 cartel case we have been using to build the 1675? Can we make a 16710 with the lug holes using that case and this bezel?
agfa421 Posted July 26, 2012 Report Posted July 26, 2012 how does the bezel fit on a WM9 V3 / TC V3 LV sub??? the bezel on mine is quite hard to turn so I am currently looking for a replacement...
