quaresma7 Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 Hi Guys! I want to show you my last purchase. This project started up a few months ago after a conversation with my friend Darío (Reziarius). We talked about we would like to get a Seamaster 300 vintage NOS (he already had one, so this one would be his second ). After an unexpected delay because of a missing piece that refused to appear, I can finally enjoy of this full GEN timepiece. Darío, thanks so much for your amazing job! :kneel: Hope you enjoy the pictures Some wrist shots Thanks for looking! All comments are welcome 3

bwhitesox Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 Whats the size on this one as it looks great in the wrist shots...Not too small.
quaresma7 Posted August 14, 2012 Author Report Posted August 14, 2012 Whats the size on this one as it looks great in the wrist shots...Not too small. If i'm not wrong have 41mm without crown, little bigger than my frankens 16610 and 5512. It have perfect size IMO
lloyd Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Wear it in good health. I went the same route and have both a NOS date and no date version. I love them.
bwhitesox Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 So you guys grabbed the parts from ebay and put them together....If so was the movement hard to find ( guessing you used the original Omega movement)?
dbutlerman Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Yeah. Original movement is an Omega 565. Luckily omega built millions of them...literally. You can get them out of a mid to late 60's Omega pretty cheap. Mine ended up almost free after selling the left over parts from the donor. Awesome!! And great photo, In my opinion our model With Black Date Wheel is the most beautiful Seamaster 300!! Agreed
siesta181 Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 So you guys grabbed the parts from ebay and put them together....If so was the movement hard to find ( guessing you used the original Omega movement)? Movement's cheap. Obtainable at less than USD 300.00. The most expensive item would be the case set. This is essentially a USD2k project.
HauteHippie Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Looks fantastic. It's in amazing shape. Wear that one well!
woof* Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Movement's cheap. Obtainable at less than USD 300.00. The most expensive item would be the case set. This is essentially a USD2k project. Movements are even cheaper than that, I paid 170$ for my donor watch. OP, beautiful Seamaster!
bwhitesox Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Alright someone sell me one right now LOL
dbutlerman Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Looks fantastic. It's in amazing shape. Wear that one well! It ought to be. It's brand new in every way except for the movement.
cougar1 Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Fantastic project quaresma, you don't see these around much these days but they are classic omega, and one of the best divers around!
cornerstone Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Wow. What camera set-up did you use for the first photos? They're amazing shots.
bwhitesox Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Can I ask what the case reference number is...Just trying to find one. EDIT: Found it ->166.0324 Here's a great post about building one of these ---> http://www.watchwallpapers.com/smrebe.htm
lloyd Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 It ought to be. It's brand new in every way except for the movement. I felt alittle guilty opening the factory packs with the parts in them.
