Guest accio
cassa Silix 6538 ETA2836-2 Plexi Tropic 19 by Ofrei This is the original watch: this project comes from a "mini group" build, and this dial design: The lume is not perfect when analyzed with the magnifier, it is not as uniform as it should be, but ok, I can live with that "vintage look". THe problem will come with the hands.... THe lume color without charge and charged is not similar, so I decided to relume them with yellow tritium (a kind of which is sold as tritium but is not radioactive). Now the donor... al old Rado with a strong ETA2836-2 heart alive and kicking.... Dial assembled: INside the case: I've decided also to build it lefty or destro... it's easy as you only have to turn the dial, and also as this is a "free hommage" I can do whatever I want the final result Also, I'll change the insert. They are compatible with the insert I have and very cheap (I am a low cost modder ;-) ANd I have to decide on the polexis and hands/dial colours: Plexi tropic 19 from Ofrei Dial and hands.... ......................ecc ecc ........................................................ Finally I managed to finish it: Hands: relumed and vintaged with the dial also vintaged a bit: Sand blasted (by me) case and bracelet:

aeromatic
Things like this are a perfect example of why I love custom Stunning project, amigo Unfortunately not many on here go for custom i myself bend both ways i can appreciate an exact replication of a gen and a custom built watch even some gen makers are making custom style watches take the tudor black bay if a modder put a snowflake dial on a no crownguard vintage type case he would get remarks like why have you put those hands on that case its wrong! at the end of the day its a watch ! build them for yourself not for show! im planning to build a blackbay type watch lets see 6538 case tudor dial and milsub handset! yes i can see that on my wrist with a zulu strap!
