How do I get this plastic part off?

Well, I managed to trim the stem to the correct length. I was able to wind the watch, move the hands back and forth, change the date (it felt a little "dry" at first).

And guess what? the watch is not moving!!!!! the balance wheel is frozen. Any ideas on what could be wrong? could it be "stuck"?. I can set the date and time via the crown it's just not moving on it's own.

WEIRD.

Thanks in advance!

Disengaged!

When i try to "wind it" the oscillating mass moves as well and I do feel resistance.

Gummed up or malfunctioning reversing wheels. That should be looked after but does not explain the movement not wanting to run. My money is on the balance hack. Bring it to a local repair shop. Both should be a easy fix.
