dutchguy2
And that mod is ........ A relume with C1 Superluminova from Tritec on the triangle and the 3, 6 and 9 indexes. After this mod these indexes will have the same color and lume intensity as the allready great hands. Before the where greenish with less intensity.

ryaku
Great watch, I love my Spitfire Mark XVI...the last mod I need is a brand new AR coating but yours seems to have a nice blue hue
dutchguy2
Yes, on the latest batch the AR coating is great, the second hand (actually all hands) is perfect. Only the crown is still to big.
sneed12
Too big in which dimension? Too thick? I've trimmed crowns and He valves successfully before using the poor man's lathe...

Libertatia
This WILL be my next watch? Which TD did you get it from and is it the latest model?
dutchguy2
All TD's can get this one. Yes, latest modell. It s very good, as mentioned, only one mod is needed.
seafoam
Some nice shots man. I think the genuine alligator rep strap is a must. I'm a "all stock" kind of guy though. The cowhide rep strap looks ok but feels cheap as heII. Your aftermarket strap looks cool though!
herviam
Did you purchase this through the forum or through a website like TT, PC, etc.? Thanks!
B3nj4min3
A truly lovely watch and that lume is amazing. Certainly making me consider having all my reps re-lumed.
altesporsche
Maybe im digging u pan old post, but I have come across this and love the look of your watch for one ! congrats .. I have a MK XVI as well with gen hands and dial and this looks pot on to my gen lume. I was wondering what strap you are using ? the only reason i cant get used to wearing the watch is because of its small strap and well small watch ( i wear 44mm panerai's ) It seems that strap would make my watch a little easier to wear. @ almost 40mm (38) it shouldn't look so small on my wrist but it looks like a small frame rolie on my wrist and feels odd. cheers and thanks C
dvn
How is it compare to xvii?
altesporsche
from the look of this watch and detailed pictures its spot on without having my mostly gen MK XVI side by side with it. The lume job on dutche's watch is pretty much exact to my GEN lume and the dial look texture and lume application looks damn well exact. Id say this is pretty much 98% of the gen look. So id say its closer than the XVII.
atomic_doug
This is a little after the fact, so forgive my thread necromancy, but I'm looking at doing this for my XVI as well. Did you do it yourself or have it done professionally? To that end, has anyone ever used these kits? http://www.ofrei.com/luminous-paste-for-watch-hands-and-dials.html

peter pan
Hey! I have a Mark XVI V2 as well but the standard lume really bothers me as well. Way too greenish. Can you tell me, where I can get a relume job like yours? It looks really spot on!
