fraggle42 Posted August 24, 2013 Report Share Posted August 24, 2013 I see that a few of the other forums have a "shop" area selling a limited selection of tools and quartz movements, etc. Having that the site would be a valid business concern, and so a company could be created for it, and as a company it would have its own bank account, etc, and be able to apply for a PP account (and obviously other transaction services) and maybe even be able to process credit card payments directly. In the UK handheld chip and pin payment machines can be hired, looking round I spotted one at £12.50 a month. And that's a physical machine, I've no doubt that an online card processing system would cost even less per month. That way the middle man is removed and we can tell PayPal and the rest to go take a hike. In the UK there are setup costs to create a limited company, and ongoing costs associated with accounting and tax returns, but so long as the business earns less than a defined amount, the tax returns don't actually need to be done (fully). It was my thought as well as others why give any payment system in the future an excuses as we will still be discussing reps. As far as other sites I only know about other RWG having had problems but as fraggle noted they have a big online shop of watch tools etc for legit biz so that is how they get by. I am hopeful we can find something that works keep in mind it must not be labor intensive as the chief and mods/admins can not baby sit it. Porn industry uses them so they shouldn't have an issue with us... I was trying to open a new account in conjuction with a new business I am opening and this was also closed. A guy from PP called me and basically told me that all accounts I open in the future, will be closed. So this is just an FYI that you will see your subscription payments fail and your upgraded memberships will expire. I will have to look into if there is any other optiins for us to use, but after the last round, where we got denied pretty much from all payment-solutions, I am not optimistic about this Yes, I know how you feel. If they find out that you have to do ANYTHING related to any rep forum or sales they permanently close your account without any warning and they won´t answer to any of your questions about why or give you a reason, it´s just simply the robotica answer each time: You have been violated our terms and conditions. They tracked you down that´s why they closed your account again. Why? They can track you down: -your IP address -your computer, phone, ipad (any device you used even one single time, they will know it´s you again, no matter what kind of browser you use and clear cookies, they track the device, not the browser) -your router (yes, even if you change your computer they can track your router) Where did I got all this info? One PP employee who I became friend with during the years (in china) Don´t you guys tellme I´m too skeptical about this I know pretty much what I´m saying How to re-open again. I am sure suggestions from Toro and other TDs could be of use to the forums. We know they've all had some sort of trouble in their years of business. BUT, when gathering funds, somehow people prefere PP and if through other methods can receive payments too what makes PP the best it is that more money will bring, double triple or more. I realise its a kick in the teeth and we shouldn't have to change anything, but if the choice is no nude pics anywhere or no RWG, the choice becomes obvious. And that's going to accomplish what ? I didn't even know that existed. I can't say that I agree in such a section being that this is a watch forum; but no wonder why we are having issues. I've contemplated upgrading my membership here a few times but with all the disconcerting reading I've done and the thought of joining 10 different payment sites just to do so, seems more of a headache. Why in the world doesn't "The Boss" just open up a simple merchant account ? File a DBA on some stupid business idea. Get your Tax ID number and there you have it. 2.3% (to the merchant account) later he can collect payments via credit card or dumb little $10-$50 prepaid. cards. I cannot believe this is even a problem. I as it stands can sit here all day, swipe a card or punch in any kind of credit card, debit card, or prepaid card right into my phone. Just because I made up some retarded business through the jerk offs at PayPal. They even sent me a card reader that plugs right into my phone.
