6 months later...(lots of pics!)

...almost 6 month ago I joined this forum without any rep in hand but one already on its way (Noobmariner/Regmariner bought over at RWI).

Only a few days later I bought my first rep from dutchguy2 and from this moment on I had been hooked.

The 16610 superrep I bought from dutchguy2 unfortunately had some problems with the movement and arrived DOA.

Good thing was that this issue showed and proofed that dutchguy2 really is a stand up guy.

First arrangement was that I should hand the watch over to Domi and since he is only 15km away I agreed. But I wasn't able to meet Domi in time and meanwhile dutchguy2 offered a very nice 5513 which caught my attention.

I need to have it and so I sent back the 16610 superrep and received instead the 5513...watch Nr. 1

Since the 5513 had been priced a little lower than the 16610 dutchguy2 said he owed me some...

Well...that was the start of my actual collection...

Dutchguy2 is very good modder and since I searched for a decent 1675 he offered me to build me one...he planned to build one himself either so he said it's no big deal...watch Nr. 2

During this build he started to build himself a 1680 and so I asked if he kindly would build another one for me too..."sure mate" was his answer...watch Nr. 3

Building watches is something that needs time and patience...not my strongest sides I must admit... ;)

So one day devilseam offered a very decent 1665 and since I missed the inital sale I sure had to take off of him :D

There were only two things that 1665 was missing and that was a gen T39 and lume...lucky me...dutchguy2 had some gen T39 and is pretty good in luming so I sent the watch over to his place and he perfected it for me...watch Nr. 4

The 1665 was back at my place pretty fast and the build of the other two was still in progress so I hit and miss some other meanwhile...a 5514, a 116509, a BTR Chrono, a Cousteau Divers Chrono, a Vintage SMP 300, a 16570, a 16750, a 16622, a 16600...

But all didn't last long...two to three weeks...

One day dutchguy2 offered a SMP300 Chrono and since I knew that his watches were always in good condition (otherwise it's no problem to find an arrangement) I bought it in an instant...good choice! During summer I had this SMP many times on my wrist while swimming at the public pool, jumping from 5m, diving down to 3,3m and I even used the chrono under water just like with the gen...it still is watertight!!! :D...watch Nr. 4

The last watch I got in a trade with dutchguy2...I promised my wife not to buy any watch during a 12month period but I needed to have that SMP dutchguy2 offered. Since I always had a little problem with watches with no date I traded the 5513 for the SMP...watch Nr. 5

I like the SMP pretty much but still I regret trading the 5513 for it...the 5513 is such a nice watch...to nice to be traded (If you read this H...wear it in good health ;) ).

For now I think I can keep my promise for the remaining 10,5 month...my rep collection stays closed for now :D

You sure had a lot of Seiko's. maybe you can help me out with my quest. I've never even held a Seiko but this modded SKX007 caught my eye and I've been casually searching for one. How do these gens compare to our super reps? Do they feel cheap? Any idea where I can get one with modded insert and hands like these? :)

Well...I actually had about 10 times more Seikos than you can see here...I only kept not all the pics :(

The SKX0xx is truly a worthy watch.

It feels not cheap at all even so it is :D

The movement is very reliable and they're overall built like a tank.

For the bracelet you have to choose an aftermarket super oyster. The original bracelets aren't that good.

The watch you are showing is a SKX011 and for the mods (hands and inlay) I'd choose Noah www.10watches.com

@Gran...yeah...the great blue is such a rare beauty...I hate myself for having it sold. Probably the last mint that was on the market :(

Well...to be honest...I had been away a bit, back in gen-land with middle and high end Seikos. But was only a short trip...back in the rep game since a few months now, totally different focus though.

Guess I'll post my new collection next week or so...they're not all here and ready yet :)
