panerai153 Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 That's a beauty sir !! It's lowly little brother says hello
danielv2000 Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 Thats a beauty. I guess I have to build me one...
panerai153 Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 Thanks sir, that's the old Tudor we talked about a while back, I got Matt to build it for me, but I never liked the dial, it had probably had too many coats of lacquer and attempts at aging. I got this one from your buddy Big Dazza, and I really like it. Matt had to cut it down some as it was 29mm. Preserved the gilt chapter ring, but unfortunately the "Swiss" didn't survive the cut!! Can't really tell unless you look at it closely in direct bright light. Yours is really, really looking good. You just can't beat Gilt!!
cc33 Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 Looks incredible! Congrats, you nailed it Just hope it survives being strapped to your wrist Mr Bond
Nanuq Posted October 26, 2013 Author Report Posted October 26, 2013 Thank you sir, we'll see how many lives it's got!
freddy333 Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 With huge thanks to a VERY generous member here, I can call the Big Gonzo build finished. It's lowly little brother says hello These are the way 50 year-old tool watches should look. Well done.

Nanuq Posted October 27, 2013 Author Report Posted October 27, 2013 No worries, any Big Crown is a handsome Big Crown!
dieselpower Posted October 28, 2013 Report Posted October 28, 2013 Oh Gawd, I'm falling in love with big crowns. You lot will be death of my bank account. Must resist, must resist...... That's a beauty btw 'Nook. As my wife would say I'm "well jell" which I believe in common parlance means exceedingly envious
Nanuq Posted October 28, 2013 Author Report Posted October 28, 2013 Sorry about that DP, but just wait till you see what I've stirred up now, swapping inserts around. We're having a 100mph wind/rain/snow storm tonight so no pictures will happen. I'll try to post some up tomorrow.
gran Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Congratulations Rob...you have risen far and beyond since the TRL days of old
