atomic_doug
http://pureti.me/product/pam382-n-bronzo-zf-11-best-edition-on-brown-distressed-calfskin-strap-p9000/ the Z factory's coming out of nowhere with home run after home run. They just gotta fix the steel crown though.
kalengkong
Apparently other makers are making this too. (source : from RG forum) so let see if other makers (Kuvarsit, NOOB, H ) will deliver better product. IMHO the brushed pattern on this one, is not as good looking as the genuine. or maybe its me ... too picky.
StormTooper4
Nice find. Not totally convinced that it's bronze though. Looks good but says it's bronze brushed?
kalengkong
the Crown is SS not bronze like the gen.
Chrononna
look at the 30 on bezel, it should be upside down
hub
Read the description guys, Angus says the crown is temporary for display purposes only and the bezel markers are also just for display, it's just a prototype. cornerstone
Could be a cool rep, I need something different to get me off the fence and back in the game.
atomic_doug
I'd say bronze is "something different." On RG, Angus has insisted that the case is solid bronze. (Of course, there are still many different kinds of bronze and more than one watch company has mistakenly sold a brass watch , thinking it's bronze.) I doubt we'd ever find out about the rep, but the gen is CuSn8 Marine Bronze.
altesporsche
Not much in the difference of Brass and Bronze ... both are alloys of copper... Brass being an alloy of Copper and Zinc and Bronze Being Copper and Tin primarily but does include others like in the case of CuSn8 has phosphorus added into the mix as well .. but all relatively cheap alloys to make and much easier to machine than 316 or 304. So hopefully they get this right and use the correct bronze : ) after all the guitar sting manufactures use it in cheap guitar stings lol.
marinamm20
uhmmm that is the next "I want" item - wonder how much it will be. have seen the Gen IRL, and it was super sexy.

Wasn't there a post a while ago in the Panerai section stating that most , if not all rep cases are investment-cast nowadays, thus making them brittle and prone to chipping, and machining out of a single piece of metal is a thing of the past? altesporsche
Not sure on that I never seen the post.. but either way the process of investment casting does not make brittle components and unmachineable metals. The cases no matter the process have to be machined.
Jkay
thus making them brittle and prone to chipping, and machining out of a single piece of metal is a thing of the past? Can you provide a single, solitary post from any replica forum complaining that their case has chipped?

Hopefully it gets sorted out. Angus is active on RG and hopefully someone can alert him to this.

Angus is active on RG and hopefully someone can alert him to this. Been mentioned several times. He is aware and the factory is correcting bezels. Also the crown should be bronze as well. That has been discussed also. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
