docthor
I already had one last year but traded it one day with knowing I'll regret it...well...I did. I regretted it so much that I tried to buy it back. Owners changed meanwhile but I was lucky enough to find the new owner. To my disappointment the new owner asked more than double of what I traded it for...450€ was way too much for this http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/158841-5513so-lovely/ 5513 even though I'd love to get it back Lucky me...a few weeks later there was one very nice 5513 for sale which only needs a bit love to be as lovely as my former 5513 was I proudly present...just another 5513... Specs: MBW 1680 case reshaped Yuki dial lumed Yuki hands lumed Gen T19 Gen inlay (vintaged by me ) Gen 702 Gen Swiss ETA 2846 Rafflestime riveted bracelet

dbane883
What version gen T19 did you use? Was it sold to you as superdome?
docthor
Thanks for the nice words guys The T19 isn't a superdome...that's a so called service dome Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
dbane883
Thanks for the nice words guys The T19 isn't a superdome...that's a so called service dome Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware I'm afraid that is not a service dome. Regardless, it's a great project you assembled. If someone sold that as a service dome, you should contact him. If it was a service dome and you sanded and polished it to get the rounded corners..then great job!
docthor
You are right It was sold just as a T19 and I thought it's a service dome just because it isn't a super dome I learned that this plexi is just called dome Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
docthor
Hmmm...compared to the pics on this sidehttp://www.vintagehour.com/rolex-tropic-crystals-a-comparison-of-superdomes-domes-service-domes/ I'd say it's probably a super dome. Anyway...it looks great and that's what counts Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
dbane883
Yes. it looks great. All three gen domes have straight sidewalls and a corner before the transition to the domed curvature. I've used pretty much every aftermarket T19 made. I'd say what you have is the Startime T19.
docthor
...think I got screwed with that T19? Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
dbane883
Depends on what u paid. It's not gen. Dammit. I should just keep my mouth shut.
docthor
Don't worry I still love my 5513 and since I don't plan selling it it's okay even if the T19 isn't gen. Lessons learned I'd say Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
Nanuq
I think that's a very nice looking plexi. I also think that's a 703 crown.....
highoeyazmuhudee
how old is this mbk case? it looks different to me
pam007
Don't care much for the Service Dial look on vintage BUT I love the faded insert. First item of business is to put a long cornet period correct 702 crown on it. If you can't afford gen, go for Athaya's 702 and 7020 tube. Next shave that crown guard down a bit more, inside and out. Good to go.
docthor
how old is this mbk case? it looks different to me To be honest...I don't know. I bought it with the bezel assembly some month ago. The crown I bought last year as a gen 702 off the bay as well as the plexi...bought it as gen but seems to be not Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
Nanuq
Doc, can you show a picture with the crown unscrewed? That will help.
