I never understood why Rolex is so popular.

The only Rolex I ever had was the infamous Colamariner,initially bought as a joke for my Coca Cola collecting friend,but I ended up keeping it for myself.

I never liked Rolex because of the sizes.

And the (excuse my ignorance for forgetting it's name) "Ring lock" model didn't do it for me.

All my watches are >44mm.

I really like the looks of the vintage subs but they are way too small for me.

Then I found the Project X HS01 and instantly fell in love!

I know the rep has several flaws but I simply love it.

Probably more subs will follow.

And I must admit that the watch wears a lot larger than it's "tiny" ~40mm.

There's a risk of missing out on some great pieces if you just judge them by their diameter (and compare to eg Panerais). Wrist presence is not measured in mm.

It looks great, start caring less and less about "flaws" now - it was the reason I didn´t get it some 3-4 months ago, still want it:)

that is a nice one! debated between getting that and a tudor black bay blue

 

in the end got the blue, but wouldnt mind checking that one out too

im not a fan of the maxi-dials.

idk. i think the proportions are way off.  the regular dials look perfect though.  

 

as far as the SubC goes though, this is one of the better variations. i HATE the thick CGs on the subC's

If I must pick something that bothers me is the pinkish colour. Second is the lack of superlume.

Great watch!

 

Real Rolex produce very robust and lasting in house chronometer grade movement. Unlike many other watch company who take the shortcut of sourcing movement from ETA.
