Nanuq
It's all about the tiny serifs. Look at the 3, 4 and
whoopy12
It's definitely gen. There were 2 distinguishable MK3 'variants'. One looks a hair thicker (Nanuq's) and the other is a tiny bit thinner. On the thinner one's I've noticed that the printing is often not centered as nicely which explains why the '20' and '30' go off the inner bezel insert's edge. 508-Fanatic
It's missing that little dot thing in the triangle so it's worthless.
Nanuq
There are actually at least 3 Mark III variants, this is a rare "hook five" style:
Beachcomber
Thanks a lot for that guys, I thought I had this insert don't thing down pat but I've been proven wrong again. So much information. This insert is going to go on my new caseless 5513. thanks again guys.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Champagnesky
You should put it in salt water somewhere in the sun for a couple of months. A bleached look would even out all the bumps and scratches on the paint.
Beachcomber
Here's the insert from my 1680, all original from the original owner, insert appears to be the same one as I just bought. as for salt water and sun, I'mAll for aging but for Gen pieces I'd prefer to keep them as original as possible.
