Great match there.  Mike does such good work.  Look forward to seeing this one complete.

I couldn't believe the match he made, unreal. Still waiting on a few parts-some I sent couldn't be used. I'm going T-39 on this one as well, I had one once before and loved the look. Going to put a new 703 tube and crown, that 700 I bought was total crap.

Well gents, just ended up sinking 300 bucks into a brand new gen retaining ring, (sealed) so I pray I am finished. Once this project is finished I´m not taking it off, damn this has been painful.

Nice, good luck on the fit.  Once you get this far in, there is no getting out.  Always cool seeing a build like this come together.  Look forward to some pics of the finished product soon.

You ruined my Saturday. LOL

I want to check the ring so badly to prove it the other ones are bad and may not even be a gen one

Did regulate the movement to COSC

Your rotor has a crack and eventually has to be replaced (don't have to do now)

Also have to replace the second pinion as the movement is 1570 and 5513 using 1520 which is the same in exception few parts, one of them is center pinion which is short on 1570 and second hand seating to low touching minute hands

It's really looking good. No doubt Mike is the best, hands down.

Your 5513 is about as good as it gets, awesome everyday wearer.

Wow, thanks for the post and pics Mike. From a pile of parts to a beautiful 5513, you are amazing. I'll pick up a rotor and have it swapped later. Amazing work my friend.

Completed and on its way back to me, a 100% Gen 1971/72 5513. Mike ended up putting a gen service T19 on it, I really didn't want the hassle of installing a rep 39 and having problems with watertight integrity. The project cost nearly as much as as buying one outright except when I think about it, an early 70s 5513 for some reason runs a bit more in terms of value, so I think I got a good deal. So, here are photos of the completed watch courtesy of Misiekped. b365ab9cd080400a91bf1b971632fe80.jpg7b4bf46289391cbdb259dd51f1faaa38.jpga93441003ecd6dbf774f13ead3d03d4a.jpg4c321ef50be7524a815f0e2d1cd2e0f3.jpgd9443bbb18d236b14b9d699f47e67678.jpg
