Thanks for posting this, it's remarkable how close they really are!  And congrats on picking up the Real Thing.

Some watches are icons and they just have to be gens.

Is the real one on the right ? I'm guessing by the cyclops magnification.

I always wonder why Rolex chose to alter the perfect shape of their case to make it so blocky, remove the bevels, etc :unknw:

Gen on left.

I will take some more pics in the next couple of days. And give my 2 cents on the ARF. I don't have the latest Noob 904L SD43 so won't be able to comment on that.

The most noticeable differences are:

1. Crown Guards on the ARF are a tad fat and therefore will need to be reshaped

2. Crown on ARF is slightly smaller so a gen crown would be a good replacement. Since the ARF crown is smaller it accentuates the fat crown guards

3. The lugs on the ARF are marginally fatter therefore does not look as proportionate as the gen. It looks blocky

4. Datewheel magnification is incorrect.

5. Crystal is not as nice therefore a gen crystal will be a great replacement.

Overall the dial and insert look pretty good.

The New Noob V2 improves on all these points and makes for a better rep than the ARF. Thanks for the pics buddy!!

Also the HE- Valve looks not really as Gen.

The Gap between case and crown looks on the Gen similar to the rep.

Never seen this before on the Gen.

Overall it's a damn nice Rep I think.

So will do some more work on mine ARF V2.

Will update when the missing parts arrived.

Still waiting for watchers Noob V2 to see how it looks after his improvements.

Btw the Insert looks better on the ARF in my opinion.

Maybe mixing Parts will do the trick.

Yes the insert engraving colour is better on arf but they are too deep on arf’s, Noob is better in that respect.

My Noob insert is off getting edge refinishing to the numerals and platinum style sputter coating so fingers crossed it will look nice upon return.

Date font is good on the noob and much closer to gen. The dials are identical as I’ve compared both. Lugs are a fraction thinner on Noob and he valve is darker.

Oh yes I forgot to mention the HE Valve colour is different to the Gen. The Gen colour changes from different angles sometimes it appears light and sometimes dark. The ARF does not have this effect
