thomasng Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 I was looking at the new watchhonpo site and I think I've come across a Titanium 194 here: http://shopping.e-conveni.net/item_info.ht..._id=997468& The watch put on a scale, the weight seems to correspond with it being made of Titanium. In addition, the He valve appears to be properly engraved on this one, not raised like the first version of the 194. In addition, the caseback finally says "Titanium" instead of "Stainless Steel"
Willith Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 This would be really cool, but I'm not getting too excited yet (ok I'm really excited, but I'm acting like I'm not).
dadog13 Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 that would be great news...and i would be more than happy cause i din't pull the trigger on the SS version...let's see what our dealers say...
Defender110 Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 i have the SS version. trust me it wears MUCH bigger than the 187! the rehault is very deep.. creating the illusion of a very big/THICK watch. i have never worn it because it looks soo much bigger than the 187 on the wrist so i have always popped the 187 on. its avail just between friends pm me.

I thought the 187 is just a bit bigger than what I wanted but now that I hear that the 194 is even bigger I think I won't get it ... Nevertheless.. it is great news for big wrists guys
Willith Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 Nevertheless.. it is great news for big wrists guys Like me. I hope they can put together a decent version for the first run, so the 2nd run will be worth buying.
lovepanerai Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 looking at those pictures it seems that the bezel and the crown might be SS and not Titanium, what a shame that this one will also be to big for my wrist
Nebakanezzar Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 LOL! dontcha just love how not one single pic out of all them pics show the date!
Logan Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 @lovepanerai I'm pretty sure that the real one only havsthe case itself in titanium, not the bezel or crown guard. Check out some pics of the real ones and it sure looks like that to me anyway. Anyone else know for sure?? I can e-mail some pics if you need them

dadog13 Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 FIrst you have to find Ken. If you find Ken, you'll find Barbie too....
Willith Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Well, it looks like the elusive unicorn (or PAM194 in this case) has escaped us again, did anyone get one?
Faber Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 i have email them...now have to waiti for the reply...when i get some news i let you guys know
watcher Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 I'd love to find out where to get a vintage Daytona that Ken lists on his site. None of the dealers have the correct dial spacing that these appear to have. Sorry to get off brand!
Faber Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 he have replied to me...the price isnt so expensive as i thought...but his english is so poor...i have asked him if it all titanium , ar saphire and about the date mag and he have replied...it is just...but in the pics of the site i cant see exactly if its titanium or ss...what do you guys thinks?? and other thing that bugs me is that no pic of the date window...and for a watch that is 2x more than i have paid mine...it have to be much better...

I know that is difficult to contact Ken, because of his english...so i didn't do so...
Faber Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 310 usd shipped...not so bad....need to sell some straps now to raise money... LOL
sammalone Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 What email address did you use to get in touch with them? I have emailed them in the past, and either I do not get a response or the email is returned as not deliverable.....thanks a bunch, Sam he have replied to me...the price isnt so expensive as i thought...but his english is so poor...i have asked him if it all titanium , ar saphire and about the date mag and he have replied...it is just...but in the pics of the site i cant see exactly if its titanium or ss...what do you guys thinks?? and other thing that bugs me is that no pic of the date window...and for a watch that is 2x more than i have paid mine...it have to be much better...

By it is just he probably means "it is just as it says on the website" or something . . . his descriptions are pretty good, much better than the generic ones our dealers tend to use. The specs say the case is SS and titanium, CG and crown are titanium . . . says nothing about AR or updated date mag, which means it doesn't have either. He will throw in an extra strap and buckle if that's a deal maker for any of you.
Faber Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 Hi Kan...the biggest problem is that the description was kind of mistery for me...but thanks for the quick translate for us...but in this pics it seend to have a light ar....comparing to the old one i have...

It might have the famous "light AR" but Ken always states it when his watches have AR -- and there's no way he'd forget to note such a desirable feature on 7750 Pam when the AR would probably be the difference between a bunch of sales. But hey, hope springs eternal.
Watchmeister Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 Well don't let the AR stop you. I am sure we can talk a certain provider of excellent AR into doing a "cold process" run for crystals with cyclops.
