gran Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Image vs reality Do the watches we select fit well with our personality, does it rather fit our ego or just what we wish to be perceives as? Below is the result if you merge all the typical buyers for the following brands..exagreated yes... but is there some truth to this cartoon? g.
got-it Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Thank god I fall under the projected image category
FasTTaP Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 As for Breitling's marketing: My friends, if you're using your bezel slide rule to flight plan, you've probably had a number of systems malfunction to the point that you're in deep deep [censored]!
KB Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 That Omega actual image..................its By-Tor I swear Actually this should be in humour, if you want it moved gunnar just let me know. Ken
By-Tor Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 That Omega actual image..................its By-Tor I swear Damn... caught!!! That's me alright. At least I look better than the Breguet owner. Neil, you disappoint me. I always thought you looked like Cary Grant.
mossanti Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 LOL...really good stuff.... I would look like the projected image of Pateh Phillipe when im older.. for BREITLING...I agree..not worth the money to buy the GEN...not that good...a couple of my pilot's fren..they said its not good...they are also like you..go for breitling reps...LOL ....all the nice pilot ...
gran Posted May 7, 2006 Author Report Posted May 7, 2006 Al Bundy is the greatest and the FM projection is damn funny too g.
Willith Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 Those were great, I think the Panerai one is probably the most accurate followed closely by the FM ones.
r11co Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 At least I look better than the Breguet owner. Neil, you disappoint me. I always thought you looked like Cary Grant. RATS!! Someone beat me to commenting on our resident genuine Breguet owner...
gpuck Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 Gran, you forgot Franck Muller: That pic looks more like "Francis Muller" than Franck!!!
the playful eyes Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 My god! Image vs reality Do the watches we select fit well with our personality, does it rather fit our ego or just what we wish to be perceives as? ehtolcad Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 What no Panerai? pug's (replica) attempt, albeit cute, missed the actual reason why there is no (gen) panerai listing. the real reason is that there is nothing AVERAGE about a panerai owner. he'll find that out as soon as that 111 arrives... and if you don't believe me, just ask the paneristi!
that_watch_guy Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 Awesome pics for the Breguet, that watch was mentioned in the book "The New English Dandy" and I think that's where the first pic came from.
archibald Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 We forgot the Audemars Piguet owners g. BTW, I used to work on the staff of a committee Ted Kennedy served on--he usually wears one of JFK's Omegas or a beat up Patek which may have been Old Man Joe's.
