fivefive Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 Hey guys, Just wondering which rep is the closest to its gen?? Is it omega PO ultimate?? but how does it compare with PAM111H or rolex sub?? Thanks a lot, five
Dutchy Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 I agree with Pug. Damn this watch gets all the wrist time. I hardly wear my Evo on gen brown strap (and that one is also close to the gen), this one is just amazing!!
FxrAndy Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 I too would hve to aggree with pug but still think that my Railmaster 39mm is so close if it were not for the saphire case back you would never know till you took it apart
vmena Posted August 11, 2007 Report Posted August 11, 2007 I'm also with Pug.. first time reped and 99% accurate...
Corgi Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 Omega SMP Chronometer. Very good value for money it is...
Chronus Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 Best ever rep: [photo of Pug's white dial SuperOcean I disagree - the Franck Muller Casablanca in solid 18 karat gold case is the most accurate - look for Archibald's photos in his thread if you do a search. Decorated rotor on the genuine ETA 2892 is as good as it gets. Same movement as genuine, without the platinum rotor.
By-Tor Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 My vote goes to SuperOcean too. That rep is just amazing. Actually it's not a rep, it's a forger's art (as Neil puts it).
fivefive Posted August 13, 2007 Author Report Posted August 13, 2007 hey guys, thanks for the reply, as for the superocean, may i ask if you guys are talking about the version that costs over $300+? or is there any other cheaper version that is also as close to the gen? oh yea, any know if Jason Bourne wears TAG Link Chrono in the bourne movies??? thanks

But my personal opinion is that this watch is one to keep "forever", so it worth the extra money having the full version.

But my personal opinion is that this watch is one to keep "forever", so it worth the extra money having the full version. may i ask what's ETA pls? also i understand what u mean, but then how much is the gen ($1000?) if the rep is $300+?? is it worth it? Thanks, five
vmena Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 ETA is the brand of the swiss movement (in case you want a swiss movement instead of an asian one). I'm not sure about the price of the gen but won't be far from 2000 USD.
fivefive Posted August 13, 2007 Author Report Posted August 13, 2007 oh i see, would you say that the feel/touch (weight) of this rep is extremly similar to the gen?? thanks a lot,
dluddy Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 Steelfish SuperOcean gets my vote as well I believe it is a Tag Link Chrono on Matt Damon's wrist in the Bourne movies, yes
fivefive Posted August 13, 2007 Author Report Posted August 13, 2007 Steelfish SuperOcean gets my vote as well I believe it is a Tag Link Chrono on Matt Damon's wrist in the Bourne movies, yes the $300+ version?? or asian one is similar?? thanks
dluddy Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 I opted to go with the more expensive ETA model with the double AR crystal. Aside from the movement and the crystal, the Asian model is the same. Of course, the AR makes the watch more accurate.
vmena Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 oh i see, would you say that the feel/touch (weight) of this rep is extremly similar to the gen?? thanks a lot, I haven't had the opportunity to try the gen, but since they have similar movement and materials. weight must be quite the same...
plaifender Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 I haven't had the opportunity to try the gen, but since they have similar movement and materials. weight must be quite the same... I tried out a Genuine about 2 weeks ago in the Corte Ingles department store here in Madrid. GREAT watch. the rep is equal in every way in terms of feel, weight and construction.. at least to the layman.
BobM Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 You will find a lot of geat discussion about this issue on this thread: What is a "Super Rep"? Excellent guidance there.
