What about trustys quartz TAG?

I'm really having a good time over at trustytime now.

So many new watches I didn't know were available!

(Now I need the Seamaster GMT, a speedmaster(ladies), and now this TAG, in addition to the PO... decitions and money... argh!)

What about this:

The quartz is more reliable than the 7750, right?

I think it's looking great, and a great price as well.

Any opinions / photos of genuine?

Hmm, found one on the TAG site as well, but in automatic, and blue.

Looks like the subdials are mixed up.

The bottom one should be to the left, and the left at the bottom. sort of...

Not that great after all, but still a nice watch, not comparing it to the original.

Nothing wrong with the quartz chronographs, imho... if you accept the ticking small seconds hand and sometimes wrong subdial arrangement.

Sometimes they're very nice watches for the money and they usually don't have any reliability issues, either. Lots of genuine TAGs are quartz (not Link chrono though).

Here's my Ebel 1911 (quartz rep that I purchased year ago) reviewed. Very high quality watch, been very satisfied with it:

I personally wouldn't buy a rep of a watch that doesn't have a gen counterpart.

I don't know much about this particular movement, but I would think in general it should be more reliable than an Asian 7750.

I agree.

But most TAG models are available with a quartz movement, so I thought that may be the case here too.

I have the last Tag Heuer catalogue and there're no quartz chronograph watches.

There are other quartz model instead.

The autometic link model looks very good but genuines are only with grey or blue dial.

It's a pity as i wish to buy a black dial (King and Andrew sell it).

Nice watch anyway.

I have a genuine quartz Tag Heuer Link Chronograph. The subdial placements are different. The hour hand is also independently adjustable.

I've never worn it and been too lazy so far to put it up in TimeZone's sales corner, but I should.

I think it is a great looking watch. My only gripe is I wish it had a sapphire crystal. I always manage to scratch up everything else. If you don't know trusty's "synthetic sapphire" means mineral glass.
