:whistling: I would like the admins to create a section for flamethrowers. I was thinking that one of our most beloved scottish men could be made moderator of this section. We could talk politics, religion, guns and watches, violence, and just about anything esle that would make this section not only educational, but as a place to show bigger [censored] syndrome really exist

I call it the swinging d%!k syndrome

This is a watch forum - let's keep it that way

If you ask me, this is so much more than a watch forum....It's "supposed" to be a watch forum, but it's also a lot of other things. Guess that's the way we llike it. We are mainly here to share our passion for watches, but it obvious that the memebrs appreciate sharing other things than just watches also, wich makes this place even better :)

While I agree T, some topics like guns and politics can change the dynamic of a place quickly IMO

I know what you're saying, Dluddy. Remember, I came down strongly against political discussion in one thread. I believe that's the only topic which poisons the atmosphere for days, even if we all claim we're open-minded. But it's also my opinion that debate amongst peers can be about any topic in the world, so long as you have respect for each other, not just for their views.

Look at me and Pugwash. We had a great debate ensemble about religion, and I think neither of us think any the less of the other, because we did. That's the way to go!

P.S.: The gun thread is closed, but stay tuned one day for a gun and watches wrist-check. An one-off, but I keep my promises. :)

Absolutely but can we not treat each other with respect? That was my whole point of this thread. Respect, differences aside, treat everyone the same. Personal attacks are uncalled for and should not be tolerated. Amusement for some, humilation for others.

Perhaps I just need to have a drink and lighten up a little <_<

As much as I enjoy political and religious debate, such things can indeed spill over into non-related discussions, or used to attack a person out of context. Having seen attempts to create such a 'flame forum' on another forum, I can honestly say that all it resulted in was people posting offensively and slagging each other off, not debating 'inflamatory' topics, so I'd personally suggest it might not be the best thing to incorporate here. :)

I'm here to discuss watches, not debate religion or politics :)

P.S.: One time, in band camp, I had a friend take a photo of me wearing black pipe-leg jeans, black stilettos, a black leather Eisenhower jacket, lighting up a fag as I leant against the wall (near Stringfellows). OH GOD I LOVE THAT PHOTO OF ME! And I don't even smoke, but I was smokin'!
