ajoesmith Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 UPDATE ON PAGE 3 I have an idea I really like the New B&R 03-92 42mm with date. Its much better than the 46mm as it smaller and also has a date. Here is the plan. The PVD coating on this watch is not real PVD and looks crap. If my memory serves me correct, swdivad, a member in australia has a contact for PVD coating. What ill do is 1 - organize the buying of the watches 2 - disassemble the watch from the case 3 - Send the case to get PVD coating 4 - Reassemble the watch 5 - Post to members All you have to do is pay for it, no hassle and no fuss. Ill have to contact swdivad if he can organize the PVD coating for us If this is feasible then please post your interest here
Chronus Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 Search for a thread i started a few weeks ago about PVD, David kindly posted pictures of his PAM there. Just be aware that true PVD is NOT black and more of a grey/violet colour. This is true for genuines as well. I don't have internet at home at the moment, so sorry I don't have the time to do the search right now.
a german in denmark Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 I would be in, depending on the cost, of course...
TWP Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 (edited) I would be willing to supply both the watches and the pvd coating for this groupbuy. The pvd coating I have contracted out here in the states and their is a minimum order, but i am getting ready to send about ten panerai cases off for PVD treatments. Hell my schedule may allow me to even disassemble the watches. Feel free to contact me at thewatchprince@gmail.com , or you can always pm. Edited September 10, 2007 by TWP
Chronus Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 Does this watch have a genuine ETA movement ?
ajoesmith Posted September 10, 2007 Author Report Posted September 10, 2007 Does this watch have a genuine ETA movement ? No, it has DG4813 28,800bph. A reliable movement, comparable to ETA 2836, cheap and readily available, only $25

ajoesmith Posted September 10, 2007 Author Report Posted September 10, 2007 Where to get this movement from at that price in Europe? And how much does this watch normally go for? Not sure where to get it in Europe but ofrei has it for $25 maybe also cousins UK as they have the DG2813, so they may also have the DG4813 As for the price, currently the dealers have it for $180, i should be able to get it for around $140/150 if we get the numbers.
Virgil Hilts Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 Joe, Can you post some pics of their work? Especially anything in deep black, as the BR's are? A buddy of mine has a gen BR-03 and it's pretty dark. If the color is right, I'm in.

That would be a good price. Now with the PVD... spare movement as backup... and maybe a relume
turboGUATE Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 I might be in, but from what I heard the swiss version is coming... So could you manage to get the swiss at an excellent price and do the real PVD? Cheers!

Stephane Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 Hi Joe, As we already dealt toghether, so I know you are a serious and trustable guy, I would like to be in. It might be for one or two watches. I suppose it's the same watch than the one of Pismo, right ? (http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=47514) I'm ok with the asian version. So, once you have a price idea, pls let me know. Cheers Stephane
professor_yaffle1 Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 I like the sound of this......dependent on price and confirmation of spec (i.e. I would like the rubber strap version with white numerals), please count me in. Prof

Cheers Stephane Hi Stephane Thanks for the kind words, yes im an honest guy and this will be my 3rd project/group buy, the other 2 being ETA 7750 group buys. Its the same watch as Pismo's Ill be able to get for $140/$150, the PVD coating will be $?, i have yet to hear from swdivad but chieftang PMed me about it and he'll let me know the cost and if the PVD coat is good or not. The extra cost will be for postage. so 1 x watch $140/$150 1 x PVD Coat say $100, not sure probably more shipping around $40, this includes shipping to get PVD and registered shipping to the customer. Total around - $300 - please note this is only an estimate, the final figure may be more, depending on PVD costs and also postage costs back and forth.
