Why charge members, I'd have the sponsors pay a small fee monthly if they already don't. And why not ask members to contribute a couple of bucks to place ad on the site for a sale item? I'm a admin on a big forum, and out forum is paid for by sponsor fees, and donations. Ask the dealers to kick a watch to the admin every 90 days or something, and raffle it off. There are two issues roaming the threads this week. 1) Porn-like Avatars 2) Adult advertising Subcategories of irritation include: Ads slowing down the site; unable to view RWG during work hours; VIPs who thought they at least could get some special treatment, as their upgrade may imply. That's a lot on the RWG plate, I would say. But just throwing this out there. Don't the Google Ads slow down the site too, when they load slowly? I can and do use Adblock to remove the pics but I can't avoid having to wait for them to load and I can't eliminate the "Sexy [censored] in <your city>" hotlinks from appearing. Sure Google ads can potentially slow down the site also... but they don't. When you own a high percentage of the internet peering sites, as Google does, this becomes a non-issue. As to the non-work friendliness, well, if you're viewing RWG from work that's asking for trouble anyhow. I tunnel all HTTP traffic through SSH to an offsite squid server to keep all my internet activity out of the corporate web logs... And yet I still don't like the Adultfriendfinder ads. I'm gonna be here more from now on, though- I'm getting weary of the drama at RWI and wish to breathe some fresh air for a while... My $0.002- I'd prefer something else. If you ever see these kind of text ads, please take a screenshot of it and e-mail it to admin@rwg.cc. Also provide a link to the ad and preferably save the link that the ad points to.
