swdivad
Beautiful watch Rolli  It seems a bit dark for aged bronze though, which would look like this (without the deep texture): This Anonimo Polluce is made from naval bronze, and is very heavy:

rolli
hi dadog, yes it's made with love and enthusiasm. this aged bronze pvd coating is a special pvd design coating with a special blasting, for this you need a special pvd machine from hauzer ( netherland ) davidsen cannot make this coating. two companies in swizzerland and germany can make this coating. and one of this company is in the near of my location. so, let me know who wants this pvd coating or other pvd coating. pm is always welcome. rolli there is lot of love invested in this one...simply amazing...one of the best projects I have ever seen froma member on this forum...congratulations... we should get DSN to make this one... sssurfer
It's like this: http://www.paneristi.com/reference/vendome..._28_images.htmlThanks, B.! -- But what I can see there is a gorgeous 028! Here is the link to the story of the gen version (and why bronze): http://www.network54.com/Forum/353391/message/1153689759/Thanks, bazonkers!... I suppose my bad English played a trick on me once again... What I was actually meaning was: "Why the heck do they call it bronzed when it rather looks an unique and beautiful PVD that clearly has nothing to do with bronze??!!??" In any case, kudos to Rolli who has been able to get a unique piece repped!
rolli
this pam slob coating is pvd aged bronze. pvd is not only black or dark anthracite. pvd ( physical vapour deposition ) is a vacuum based coating procedure in connection with special gas and special material plates ( targets ) in a special pvd machine. -- zirkon carbo-nitrid ( ZrCN ) = color aged bronze -- -- titan aluminium carbo-nitrid ( TiAlCN ) = color dark anthracite -- with this pvd technology in connection with different materials and gas specifications you get many colors for coatings. rolli
HauteHippie
Thanks, B.! -- But what I can see there is a gorgeous 028! Hah, cut&paste error... Was drooling over my project watch.
