I took German at school, and, although it's been nearly 10 years since I had to speak German (visiting the Rheine Valley) I was able to get by with what I'd learned, and found that more came back to me as the holiday progressed, so I think I'd be okay Indeed, Germany is an excellent suggestion for location. PLus it could do with some waffles, Kwak and catch up with the local seafood places. PLus, I can alway grab a few to the Rum bar and catch up with some local buddies. So far i see people from Germany, Poland, the UK and Belguim. A city like Brussels would be good for me as i'd have an easy connection with trains. Same goes for Dusseldorf.
