takashi Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 Good things will come to those who wait... Can be true to a certain extent but then... The wait is too long on this one We will see They are running out of ETA28xx movement... especially the 2824-2 is getting rarer each passing day. I don't mind this watch being powered by Seagull ST-18 like on Vacheron Constantin Overseas (cheap version) or like on WM9's Yachtmaster-supposed-to-be-with-ETA2892A2. Even the movement thickness will match of that genuine Mark XVI
truffe Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 I actually saw this watch on the train this morning, looked gorgeous. A def buy.
scoobs1971 Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 Yeah, let's bump this - 'though I doubt this project will ever see the light
FxrAndy Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 Scoobs go to the IWC home and down load the side bar clock, it has kept me sane.
FxrAndy Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 If any one wants the side bar clock let me know with your email addy and i will sent it out
yellomen Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 If any one wants the side bar clock let me know with your email addy and i will sent it out Does it also run on OS-X? EDIT: it does not... only runs on Windows Vista according to the IWC website
dovo1695 Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 I suspect I've said it before, but just the same I want one of these watches!!!
yellomen Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Saw a gen Mark XVI on a guys wrist in the airplane yesterday... and i still want one Sooooooooooooooooo... BUMP
erwinner Posted June 23, 2008 Report Posted June 23, 2008 I'm just back from the US and went looking for a XVI now the euro is strong.... but in Miami apparantly 38mm is just to little as all watches are either 44mm+, platinum or a limited edition :-( When will the dealers finally understand there is a big market for this watch?
FxrAndy Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 Just look how simple that watch is, and makers look at how much we want this one, come on fellers do us a favor, go buy the gen messure it up and make a decent rep for us, how hard it that!!!!!
dovo1695 Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 Before we forget how it looks like... Hopefully they will produce this thing soon!
Seadweller4000 Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Make it less Graham Chronofighter and more Mark XVI... Bump.
yellomen Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 Make it less Graham Chronofighter and more Mark XVI... Bump. That's a good idea mate! Why so many ugly watches with complicated pushers, difficult to copy cases, strange dials and unreliable movements... when they can EASILY copy a simple Mark XVI.
Tom Hawkes Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 they just don't want to provide me with my exit watch..
ryaku Posted July 3, 2008 Report Posted July 3, 2008 The answer is very simple: good taste is so rare nowadays.
